And for all we know, they could virtually have a transcript of the whole "event", by whatever name you want to call it. They may know LOTS and LOTS more than we suspect.

I'm sure they do! LE only puts just enough info in the affidavit to be granted the SW. They know it's going to be released and certainly don't want their 'best evidence' to be known by all..What we have read is just the tip of the iceberg IMO...and they have learned MUCH more since then as well..

JMO but I think the coordinates are of the actual tower, not the cell phone itself

Read it several times...AGAIN...you might be right:banghead:

In some cases, they can trace a phone right down to a particular field, for example in Kelsey Smith's murder, so it is probably a bad idea to lie about where you were (to LE) just in case...

I didn't realize that.. TY! I always thought it was just a general area..don't know why I thought that, but I did!

Where did everybody go?

(Is that "chirp chirp chirp," or "chip chip chip," because all I can hear is folks trying to chip ice off their cars and walkways).

If people will please descend the stairwell in an orderly fashion, we can all get there on time. :rocker:

Thank you. Can you expand on "being in contact". Is it a check-in type of contact, or a plan for future searches? I just wish this was more front page news this week -- a sure far cry from the last couple weeks.

If you don't want to discuss, I sincerely understand. I'm also glad to hear that BD is getting support. IMHO - we're just not hearing about it :(

Hugs,

Mel

MK and BD are offering support and talking about coming back in a few weeks if Hailey has not yet been found. Laura Recovery is mostly support.

pppppppppppppfffffffffffffffffffffttttttttttt. RIF teh, RIF. Ignore me, the cold has gotten to me.

I can imagine..We had that here on the East Coast at Christmas...My brother and his family are in Sugarland and San Antonio, but I just can't let my mind go to how bad the weather is there when we don't know where Hailey is..Logically I know that if she IS 'out in it', she doesn't know how cold it is...still can't think about it ..:(..

Just wanted to point out that the DFW police dept, narcotics division, seems to list marijuana on their site as a narcotic.

I think the whole narcotic discussion with BD is semantics. She is a nurse and knows what is actually classified as a narcotic.

DRUG IDENTIFICATION

Within the area of the DFW metroplex, certain narcotic substances are predominant in use. The most commonly confiscated substances within the city of Fort Worth are:

Cocaine (Powder and Rock or Crack)
Heroin (Black Tar)
Marijuana
Amphetamine/Methamphetamine

This is not intended to imply that other controlled substances have not been seized within Fort Worth; to the contrary, officers of the Narcotics Section have encountered and seized a variety of other substances such as LSD, pharmaceuticals (rohypnol, valium, demerol, etc...), anabolic steroids, and several other controlled substances or dangerous drugs. The largest seizures however encompass the listed substances. The following information will serve as a guide to aid in the identification of these substances, and will provide information related to physiological effects and hazards of the substances:

So would a police officer call marijuana a narcotic on an affadavit?
