No not this one , the one I am talking about. Is a very short article and I saw it after billie's presser.

Kempfer said that there was a specific amount of footage and Clint had veiwed all of it. Way more then 3 hours. I want to make sure of how Kempfer worded that remark.

Thanks for pulling it up anyway! I did tag the post as a media link so it will help more people.
Clint said he'd only gotten to watch about three hours. Did you find a link to the Kempfer report you mention above?

I just do not understand that, CD said he wanted to see tapes of people that checked in or out. He wanted to see if there was someone he knew maybe from the past. I think it would be great if they let him review all of Sunday, Monday and Tues.

ITA!!! What if SA took her there the day before or something??? Or someone else did? I sure hope LE spent more time on them than they allowed CD.

has be baffled too, the only conclusion i could come up with is that maybe there is something on those tapes, otherwise i dont understand why they would not show them to them, especially since they deemed her a runaway for so long.....

and IIRC there are 72 hours of them i could be wrong

Let's say LE did review the tapes and they show Hailey going to the motel with SA or even someone else. Couldn't they make an arrest based on that? Maybe they did see something but they are building their case and didn't want to tip their hats?

Just throwing things out there. I'm confused by the motel issue big time.

My apologies if this was discussed, I had to leave as the interview ended.

What about wanting to watch those surveillance tapes at the motel? Why wouldn't LE welcome the family to watch and see if they saw someone they know???

CD was upset that he couldn't watch those tapes long enough to his liking.

I'm waiting for the transcripts..lol..I could not hear Clint clear enough, the sound was very low.

There has been too much leaking out about this investigation. If LE found anything useful to the investigation on those tapes they are not going to share it. This is what we all talked about when the new mysterious threat hints were given out. Too much has gone straight to the media.

It could put Hailey in danger if she is alive and hinder the investigation. We have talked about investigators not sharing information with the parents or telling the parents as in the Kyron case to not make public statements without their approval first.

Do we know if this hotel is private owned ? OR Corporate owned ? And didn't we know from the first videos of BD that this was a new hotel ? That just seems important to me how long it has been there, and who owns it ? Not even sure if we can sleuth that ? IMO

That's a definite possibility. The only other thing I can think of is that maybe the motel has an objection to showing the tapes to someone other than LE to protect the privacy of their guests.

even if they did not want them to see him on those tapes they could easily edit that part out

unless there is someone on there they dont want tipped? i dont get it

i often think i have more questions for LE at this point than anyone else save for SA lol

One last post before bed, I am not putting LE down just relaying information. CD also said he felt like they were not following up on all the leads. The one he went to check on in Odessa, he received the week before, when he got there LE had not followed up, they did not until after he did. One of the ladies that called up has been searching and she stated that she felt like LE did not follow up on all the leads that the searchers turned in. This may not be exact but what I remember. Someone is typing the transcript (many thanks to the ones that do that)

I understand why they are so focused on SA but they should check out leads this case is not a slam dunk yet.

Good night all.

For example....... what if Hailey was seen there on Sunday night and not Monday? There are only certain people who would know that right? They are not going to tip their hand to that because they will use that in their interrogation. And only the perp would know certain information. No one else.

I don't even know what motel it is! I'm not sure what you are trying to gather though? We can't say the motel was involved? But we can discuss the name and address and even map it from Hailey's house to her dad's, to her mom's and to her friend's.

I do think they should check out all leads also. Even Jaycee's step-dad was wrongly made a suspect in her disappearance.

If they aren't checking them, then it leads me to believe they are VERY sure SA is involved.

I have to run. I'm looking forward to catching up with your thoughts in the AM! :grouphug:

Justice for Hailey!!!

I listened to Clint and Naomi tonight and there was no doubt that they spoke from their hearts. They are not interested in seeing their faces in the media. They aren't reading blogs to find out what people are saying about them. They only have one agenda, to find Hailey. I wish I had hope, and could offer them hope, but I fear Hailley has been gone too long. I cannot imagine what Clint and Naomi must be going through, as the not knowing has got to be much more painful than trying to find a shred of hope.

I listened to Clint's interview, and it was very good. I have said before that I know he loves Hailey with all his heart, and not having a clue about what has happened to her is killing him.

I would like to say something about Billie's statement on Monday. From the beginning, besides just keeping media coverage for Hailey, this statement was to let Billie go over what she knew firsthand and also what she had been told. She also did this for another reason, which she clearly said - that she does not want to defend herself or anyone else. She wants the focus to return to Hailey.

Yes, I typed the statement up for her. But I typed it from what she wrote out. IMO, it was clear that she differentiated from her what she knows firsthand, which she talked about first, and then what she was told by DD and SA, which she 'touched briefly on'. And what she said about Hailey was from her heart. She did not write that down. I had left a blank space in the typed statement in case she wanted to write something specific down, but she didn't. She spoke straight from her heart.

IMO, she was also trying to make everyone understand why she felt the way she did. Of course she doesn't want to believe that SA could have anything to do with Hailey's disappearance. IMO, no one would want to have to face the fact that someone they love could harm their child. But she did make him leave her house. And I feel that she made it clear by saying SA 'claimed' or 'said' this or that.

Regardless, IMO, she made it clear that she did not want to defend anyone. She wants everyone checked out, every lead investigated. IMO she has been put into a position that she has to defend SA to defend herself. I feel like many people hold her (to whatever extent) responsible for his actions and past behavior just because she was in a relationship with him.

SA, if innocent, needs to step up and defend himself. And if he is guilty, then I hope he burns in heII. I wish that he would just hurry up and tell what he knows, or that LE would haul him in and charge him if they have the evidence against him. This has gone on for way too long IMO.

As far as the things she said about people accepting donations - IMO she was not talking about Clint. Or the account set up for the searchers. I personally know that there was a woman going around to businesses and posting lists of things needed and asking people for money. Billie asked her to take the lists down and stop asking for money (which she never got any of, btw) and she did not stop. Billie did tell one of the Rangers about this.

Regardless of how anyone feels about Billie or Clint, this is about Hailey. I really wish that everyone could move back to that. I am not talking about WS members - I am talking about everyone everywhere. Talking smack or discussing what should or should not have been done by anyone in the past is not bringing us any closer to finding Hailey. Everyone makes mistakes, and everyone has regrets. Some are worse than others. But Hailey's parents both love her, and all they want is to get her back.

Respectfully, a few things:
1. You could definitely tell that the first part of her press confernece wasn't being read off of a sheet of paper and she was certainly emotional. Its good that you types out the second part (the timeline) because that isn't the kind of thing that you can recite off the top of your head.

2. I know its your opinion, but I don't see how Billie has been put in the position to defend SA in order to defend herself. I think most people had the utmost sympathy for her at the beginning. It was only when she started the, if I may be so blunt, bizzarro defenses of SA that people began to give her the side eye. Particualrly after the affadavits came out.

Personally I don't think she had anything to do with Hailey's dissappearance but i just don't get why she keeps trying to make his story fit.

3. I understand why she couldn't name the allegeded guy who threatened her and D but I really wish SA's whereabouts on Tuesday would have been mentioned. I know you have said before that SA told BD he was at his mom's, but that is so vague. I mean, he clearly spent a lot of time describing his route home from werk on Monday and the times he was at his Grandma's house and his Mom's house. That is down to the minute, so why is tuesday such a mystery. I can't imagine BD is okay with that vague answer. Maybe y'all are just frustrated as we are.

Can I say y'all? Even if I'm from Canada? :D

All my own opinion, of course, and for me, Billie's apparent love/obsession/concern for Shawn is what turns me off Billie; I don't think she did anything to Hailey, or knows whether or not he did. But right now, LE thinks he did, and her loyalties to Hailey are not clear to (some of) the public at large and it is disconcerting to say the least.

yes. I feel the exact same way.

I was wondering if maybe there IS something on those tapes that LE doesn't want out for some reason. At one point during the interview I got the feeling that Clint kinda of felt the same way. I don't know if he even realized it when he said something about 'LE knows something'<not a quote..but he said that IIRC during or right after discussing those tapes..<MOO

Only if you spell it "correctly!"

Ya'll: Slang contraction for the 2nd person plural pronoun, utilized amongst the indigenous populations of the southern continental United States.

Origin: Often incorrectly attributed to the contraction of "you + all," the word actually originated from the fusing of "ya + all." The kind of fella who would say ya'll for the first time would not be enunciating a clean and crisp "you" in his daily speech. "You" wasn't in his spoken vocabulary, but "ya" was. Now, try to say "ya all." It is actually not easy to do as two separate words. To say it with a normal cadence, it already almost sounds like ya'll, but with the slightest stutter. "Ya all" quite naturally slips into the familiar pronoun we all use. Ya + all = ya'll. When you look at it that way, the placement of the apostrophe after the "a" makes sense. Alternately, you + all = y'all. However, the ya + all transition more naturally illustrates the origin of "ya'll." "You all" is cumbersome, although that is usually how yall is explained to uninitiated Yankees, whose experience with "ya" is often limited. "You all" just doesn't lead the the inevitable ya'll that "Ya all" does. However, y'all is an accepted alternate spelling.
Imperative: "Ya'll simmer down and go one at a time."
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ya'll&defid=1347769

(I'm tickled to find this explanation of the two spellings in the Urban Dictionary. I tried to explain this difference to a Yankee friend one time, and I thought we were going to come to blows over it!)

I'm way past tired. Ya'll have a good evening!
