"Bill Stinson has lived in Colorado City for 72 years and said he knows every cow trail in Mitchell County. He had already been searching for Hailey for two days, but joined the official citizen-led search this afternoon.

“If she’s still in Mitchell County we’ll find her today,” he said. “I just hope we find her alive somewhere.”

From what I know of other searches TES has participated in they want to work cooperatively with LE. If LE is telling them to hold off then they will. I don't know of any search they have done which was against the wishes of LE. I could be wrong and just not be aware of any. The only thing I can think of is they have so many agencies working on it and they don't want things confused any more than they are. Maybe they are just waiting for the right time to get help. I'm just trying to think of it from another perspective BUT if it were my child I would be wanting answers from LE and FAST on why TES isn't on the way.

Did someone actually say near the grandma's house, or just near Dunn? Just wondering - I think that's a big difference to be searching in nearby towns/areas vs searching near someone's specific home.

I was just thinking the same thing. What a great guy! And super useful, too, since he's lived there his whole life.

IDK, czgtz - this is what we read earlier today....maybe it's misinformation or just 'stale'/old info.

I want to end this night by saying that my heart goes out to BD and to any of you who are close to her tell her there is lots and lots of people hoping the best for her and Hailey. please tell her if there is anything i can do as a local, such as cook dinner for her or go to the store please let me know.

It is unbelievable isn't it .... it is probably time to start phoning the headquarters again. How can they just simply put TES on standby - there are people fanning out all over the county searching and TES is being held back. It does not make good sense.

LOL, I sure am glad I didn't realize it then! I took on live in babysitting jobs, that gave me a roof over my head, meals I cooked for all, a bed to sleep in. I was able to continue my education, I just made study time with the kids 'our study time'.

Jonathan Foster, TES was about to search and LE had them stand down, then that same day they found Jonathan's remains.

I agree because now we have all these people traipsing across the place who may or may not know what NOT to do. Atleast if TES were here they could advise the searchers on the Whats and if's

I am glad people are looking for her someone HAS to but I just hope no one touches anything ect that could be potential evidence.

Colorado City and Dunn are both in Mitchell Co., but Snyder is in Scurry Co., correct? I've lived in San Antonio for over a decade, but I don't know my W. TX geography.

If I were TES my first search would start from the home to Mom's work.

That would be nice. But even at that, why not call them out? They don't charge. It's not costing anything.

Any locals here watching the news? There was a comment on the Find Hailey FB site stating what the newscaster said, but I don't want to repeat it case it is a rumor.
