I was all about the BF a day or two ago, but am leaning more toward H heading out to meet someone "secret" and something either happened en route or once she met up with him. Perhaps the meeting spot was the motel parking lot.

But the thing about BF losing his job on the very day is more than a little disquieting.

Do we know WHY he lost his job? I've been trying to keep up, but every time I think I know something..it changes.. Obviously losing your job is not going to put someone in a 'good mood', but I can't help but wonder if the job loss had anything to do with a temper, drugs, alcohol, etc. <all total speculation on my part..The *WHY* would go a long ways in giving us an idea into his mindset that day imo..

I work in a middle school part time...kids this age know just enough to be misinformed....they know a lot but not a lot either if you know what I mean...such a tough age...some are over developed, some under developed and hormones are raging....I was very surprised to see and hear the things I do since it has been several years since I had one this age. I love this age kid though but it sure is a tough age.....such an in between time of life....too young for some stuff and too old for the other.

Hailey we are praying for you.

You would be surprised at the people who DON'T follow news like this and wouldn't recognize a missing person if they saw one. There are just a lot of people who don't pay attention to things like that.

If someone didn't follow a forum such as WS or watch Nancy Grace most would not even recognize the name Hailey Dunn I'm afraid..

Whenever a child is missing I always think back to the Maddie Clifton case. It was here local where I live. It was a huge news story.

Maddie was outside playing, she was 8 years old. The teen Joshua Phillips was not a suspect in fact he came out to help in the search.
In the end Joshua did turn out to be the killer of little Maddie and she was found under his waterbed, where the corners meet. She saw that there was fluid on the floor and took at look it turned out to be fluids from the decomposing body.

After that time of the case I always think in my mind the possibilty of a kid in the neighborhood and then now days a young friend off of a social network

That case tore me up, I was an emotional mess for months and still to this day when I think her tears come to my eyes.(posted link to basic case) I dont know if I needed to when refering to murdered child. So i posted link to be on safe side of TOS

Maddie Clifton case:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Phillips_(murderer)

I do not remember this case. I did notice the SO neighbor that was not involved in Maddie's disappearance/murder failed his polygraph. This has me wondering if people can fail a polygraph because they are guilty of something besides what they are being asked about. Like bad thoughts but didn't act on them or a past act that they are worried about.

You are so right. I thought the whole world was keeping up with the Casey Anthony case and believe it or not I said something last week to a teacher and she said "you mean that is still going on?" She thought all of it was over.....sigh.

***why can't Clint's GF remember if she saw Hailey on Monday***this is driving me crazy. I almost want her to be hypnotized. She would be the only one who could back up SA's story that Hailey headed over there that day. I am stuck on this, I know...:(

She has a five month old child and is likely very sleep deprived.
With Christmas and all the hubabalu that goes with it, it might be asking too much for her to remember.
I saw her out in a yard when CD was an emotional wreck, and she was trying to quiet the baby, bouncing her up and down, and looking toward her husband/whatever.
I'm sure her plate is quite full, and now too much time has passed. She initially said she did see her, but then doubt must have come when questioned for details.

I have an 8 month old in the home, and at 5 months he was still waking up several times in the night, concerns about teething, etc etc.

Don't ask too much from her, I'm sure she's doing her best.

What we do have is the friend's mom say HD never ever spent the night there, and the friend said they discussed it but made no concrete plans.

Maybe she is being truthful or not, in an attempt to cover for Hailey.
If it wasn't discussed, then SA could have made the story up.

time will tell. Nothing hidden stays there.

Exactly! Out of all my friends and family on FB, there are only 2 others that know much of anything about these cases unless the 3 of us are talking about one of them..

or even if they did see or hear the news, they could be jerks & just not care like one of my co-workers when Somer Thompson went missing.

I was watching a presser & I'll never forget what this guy actually said to me "Oh another little white girl missing. Don't they have anything better to do?" :furious:

(Sooo unlike my DBF who called me when he heard the Amber Alert on the radio for little Mitchell Romero....he made sure I knew about it.)

Am I dreaming or did somebody on the FB site say a missing Lubbock girl turned up in Colorado City today??? Surely I read that wrong.
Just a few minutes ago.

Yes...I agree...I posted that too quickly and meant to take out my first sentence referencing the "differences"...but I saw the FB page and my head went immediately to my next post...sorry.

Oh my goodness, please don't be sorry!!

You are so right! They are very impressionable at that age, too. Too old to be a kid, and not old enough to let them outside alone, LOL!
I didn't have a daughter, but my stepdaughter was 13 once, and so was my granddaughter... I still have nightmares!
Things are so different now than when I was that age, I was still playing with dolls at 13. Okay, not playing exactly... but collecting them. (Heck, I still do!)
I like what you said... they know a lot but not a lot either. Says it all!!

It is a possibility that she did run away and dont have tv around and dont know her moms looking. or maby she does have tv and is out of state and isnt watching the right channels, my dads in colorado(the state) and had no idea of her being missing so who knows.

then again she could see it and be very scared to come home, as a teen i had ran away and as soon as i found out the cops were involved i did some real hiding cause i knew i was in major trouble.

and i did tell my mom how sorry i was everyday for that by the way. i was 24 when she passed and 12 when i did that so thats lots of sorrys, but never enough.
