I'm just saying I can see a predator like Anders (well, creep anyway) taking advantage of someone mentally challenged to cover up for something he did. Some may be high functioning, but that doesn't mean they have equal amounts of reason and logic. Many just want to please.

Thanks so much. It's just hard to understand that the damage was so deep and horrible that our love couldn't fix it. You want to think that you can make it better for your children. It's even harder to do"Tough Love" and back away when there's nothing else you can do. I have learned that I can pray and I do and I have turned her over to God. Even though you know that you've done your best it is hard to do what is right and let go. I just have to trust my Heavenly Father and he has given me strength. Sorry didn't mean to get into this. You guys are absolutely wonderful.

I know what you mean. Sometimes prayer is the only thing left. I was traumatized in my early 20's and I know what I deal with. That's why it kills me when these precious babies are so horribly abused so young. I'm an adult and can't deal with it sometimes. Lord knows what they have to deal with.

You answered it in the posts, Thanks, I don't know what happened to that last pm. Do you know what it meant in that exerpt from the warrant that sounded like he was caught trying to abuse her when the police arrived?I hope it was a misprint.

They didn't make it very clear in that article. When you read the whole affadavit it reads a little differently.

I didn't take it that he was caught in the act. I took it to mean that he asphyxiated Hannah, causing her death, while he was in the act of sexually assaulting her.

And 2..Hannah was scared of something according to her sisters..I bet he was allowing this guy to do things to her and he took pics..And I think maybe that night it went too far...

You're welcome, TB. I think it was their way of pointing out that her death ocurred during the commission of another crime (rape). I hope that makes it even worse for him.

I think he was in and out of that house... this young man comes from a pure trash family apparently, and he was more than likely on drugs, as well as not being the brightest star in the sky... whatever. the is in jail where he can not harm another child and if Anders is involved it will come out.

i guess i just don't see the risk being worth the benefit. kid A gets a great step dad. kid B gets a step dad that could care less but does not abuse them. kid C gets a step dad that beats or rapes her til one day he kills her.

That's why this thread is making my head spin right now... I am not used to this from posters on Websleuths. In NO WAY am I defending this guy, IMO just the child is enough to lock him up for life, but it's been a long time since I've seen everyone so collectively jump on a 'person of interest' because apparently everyone thinks he got arrested for what happened to the girl.... which he didn't (get arrested for). Yet. Eh, never mind....

JanetElaine, that's why I love Websleuths. I'm a very opinionated person and I feel free to give my opinions here, hopefully I can give a reason I feel the way I do (like what he asked someone not to tell on the 911 call and what the children said,plus the mother worked at night if I rememer right) But I am happy to admit I am wrong if I need to. I feel so welcomed here because of all of you and the differing views. Thank goodness I am wrong many times. So rub it in all you want to especiall in good spirits like you have. :blowkiss:

The house is two story with the girl's bedrooms upstairs...no I have not seen the home although 3 of my grandchildren lived not far from there about a year ago. I do not know who gave permission to sleep on the couch, but the couch was downstairs as was the mother and bf's bedroom. As to why Hanna felt frightened, there was apparently an altercation with the and the boyfriend and the was asked to leave....Dana, the mother worked late hours at the Navarro Mills Cafe... but I don't know what time she got home. She worked until after closing cleaning up , washing dishes, etc.

I should have more info on Hanna's sisters on Monday. One of them is coming to stay the day today with my boss and her family.. they are getting one of the puppies for the two girls.
