Just got caught up on this case. Ugh, so horrifically sad. Praying that HB and baby Margo are found healthy and safe.

I haven't seen it reported anywhere, but is there any indication what HB's plans were for that day? Since she had a nearly newborn, I wouldn't be surprised if she was planning on tending to Margo and just staying around the home, but again, I haven't read anywhere what her itinerary was for the day. Any info on that? TIA.
You're probably right about her plans were to stay home. She wouldn't have visited anyone without taking the carrier (the thing that clicks into the car seat). That's what most women carry their newborns in. I worked retail. I know. :)
All the young women lugged that carrier and diaper bag (and maybe a purse) into the store.
Btw a baby once did fall off the cart but was unharmed. The carriers didn't always fit well.

In my complex, a lot of people are home during the day...in fact I often wonder why. I am disabled so not working but it always surprises me how many people must work shifts or from home or not work at all, etc...

It would be almost impossible to do anything very odd during the day without being noticed. Someone is always out and about...but whether they remember or not is another story. I try to be observant on purpose but am not always...

Yes. It’s ruined my favorite jogging trails. It used to be dead between 9-5. Now it’s always busy. Because so many people work from home/remotely due to so much being done online and via email, Skype, etc.

This friend didn't seem to be in contact with Heidi on a steady basis. It's possible she got on HB's nerves. You never know which of your acquaintances is going to blab their opinions, or your secrets if they even know them, to the press when a case is hot.

I'm thinking about Teresa Sievers's partner/friend LS giving the most inappropriate info to LE and press to help solve her murder.

She could be the kind of friend that makes you feel criticized all the time. HB might've found out she was pregnant and got stuck staying with him.

I have this one friend that I don't trust with hardly any info. She can't keep a secret. She likes to bring up past emotional tidbits whenever she feels like it and not worry if it'll upset me. So, I wish we could hear from her Mom who had just spent lots of time there, or another closer friend.

This is all JMO.

Posting this again out of laziness to find another article.
Friend reveals Heidi Broussard went through 'rocky break-up' with fiancé earlier this year | Daily Mail Online
This report is a repeat from "Crimeonline" that embraces reporting from "unnamed" sources. Grain of salt.

NBC is featuring a live interview with HB's real friends this evening -- they cite HB would never leave her son behind.

Texas DOT website has links to traffic cameras in Austin - looks like pretty extensive coverage on highways.

I live at the end of a cul-de-sac and have a camera that catches the comings and goings of everyone on the street - if someone were to abduct, or dispose of, one of my neighbors, and go undetected, they'd have to do everything via an alley, and I recently noticed that some telecom equipment on a pole in the alley is protected with a camera.

I just don't see how anyone could transport a person, or persons, in an urban area and not be tracked. Makes me wonder if that's the reason for the door-to-door search in the immediate area of the apartment complex - like if LE has seen enough footage to feel that they never left the area.

I'm sure they will also note any trucks (box trucks, vans or even pickup trucks) or vehicles with large cargo areas.

Hoping they do know she was there though, as it was quite possible for someone to have met her elsewhere between 8am and 6pm, if they had spoken to her and arranged it.

Or maybe he was going to stay with the baby, and HB just go out on her own to get him. I think it's more about routine, he normally is working but just happened to get off early that day.
I don’t know. I think routine goes out the window with a newborn.

That baby was very new. Sorry to be graphic, but HB would have been leaking all over the place. Nice to stay home if you can imo.

It may have been planned that SC as going to do pick up. Which would have bought him more time and not raised suspicions if he’s guilty. Jmo.

She seemed close enough to be shocked HB hadn’t told her.

Was just something to ponder...

It could also be a male friend - a male friend is possibly less likely to keep in touch with her once she goes back to her old b/f.

Also, in some relationships where there is DV, and/or a controlling individual, it's also possible that old friends are cut off - particularly the female's old friends. No way of knowing if this is the case here.

FBI asking to search homes near missing mother, newborn apartment

SABBM:
This week, FBI agents continue combing the area, speaking with neighbors and asking to search homes.

<......>

People living in homes behind the fence that backs up to the complex tell CBS Austin they, too have gotten knocks on the door. One woman says FBI agents asked to come in her backyard and looked near the fence line of her property.

<.....>

In the meantime, community members are planning a search for Heidi and Margot this weekend. Organizer Sarra tells us people are on standby and prepared to help.

However, Austin Police say at this time, a community-led search will likely not help them and they will request assistance if needed.
______________________

Sounds like LE's focusing their searches now close to the home.

They aren't at all interested in enlisting the community's help w/ their search efforts.

The messaging is loud and clear:

"Thanks, but we got this."

I think they're closing in.

JMO.

I am very scared that someone nearby even possibly someone hiding in a shed or vacant apartment, accosted Heidi, made her go with them, have her and baby trapped!!! MOO

There's nothing on APD twitter feed that I see. Bank robbery, traffic fatality, more robberies (yes, sounds like Austin), Shop with a Cop, Cocoa with a cop, happy holiday retweet, another traffic fatality, bank robbery, convenience store robbery, crash, traffic signal, etc etc etc. The tweet 12 hours ago was for an unrelated SWAT incident over along IH35 SB.

What on earth are y'all talking about?
You forgot the doggie who was upset about his owner forgetting about his 9 pm routine.

I think he was living there. Otherwise, why would she have called him to say she spent $25.00 on books? Plus, he said he kissed them goodby in the morning.

One can have a lot of control in a relationship even when not living with the partner, and demand to know all financial details. Not sure that's the case here.

I do wonder if he was just recently staying there or was for months... I'm sure LE knows.

If this is true, it appears they zeroed in on something. A vehicle description perhaps? 4 visits?

Four visits is very curious. I wonder what type of vehicle she has? Must have something of interest with that type.

I don’t know which unit is actually hers. That’s something I’d love to see, as it would help in regards to trying to visualize what might have happened.

Say whatever happened, happened in that apartment. How did the perpetrator manage to move her and the baby downstairs and to a vehicle/dumpster/whatever, without being spotted?

See, I'm thinking she was accosted and made to go with the abductor AT THE CAR...JMO of course.

Interesting. This is the first I've heard of Meg Thornhurst, and investigators asking her about her make, and model of car.

Process of elimination.

That’s a great point SC and HB have a dog and living in an apartment it would need to go on walks. Wonder how that was handled all day?

The dumpsters in my area are combed by recyclers constantly. I happen to have a view of one dumpster that must get ten or more people a day digging through it. Just wondering if that's the case around those apartments?

I honestly think the risk of someone having both of them holed up somewhere being kept captive is quite remote.

I can think of scenarios where a stranger might want to abduct HB.
I can think of scenarios where a stranger might want to abduct MC.
What I really can't reasonably think up is a likely scenario where a stranger would want to take both mother and baby. Odds of that really do seem quite remote at best.

My greatest fear here is not of stranger abduction.

In the absence of incontrovertible proof to the contrary, I pretty much go with the statistics in these situations.
"Never bet against the house."

Got sad when I read there was a grocery list in her car.

Could you please link the article and/or quote the part that mentions the grocery list as I don't seem to be able to find that part. TIA :)
