It's disturbing, but hopefully it's because they're targeting specific knowledge (that they haven't shared yet) and don't need that info any longer.

The second friend who speaks, and cries...She says, "We will find you..." This seems like genuine concern and is what you would expect a loved one to say and act like when they have a missing family member or friend. In my opinion only.

Well that smashes my heart. Everyone should have a friend like her. That is painful to watch.

Yes and let me say I have several very close friends who I grew up with and went through most of my life with but we rarely talk or text. Because life and kids and work (and websleuths) gets in the way. But important stuff? Break ups. New mates. Pregnancies. Kids getting into college. Kids getting into big trouble. Parents getting sick. Weddings. Baby showers. Funerals. Hospitalizations.

We are there for each other.

Note that we mostly live far from one another now, however. And everything is via social media.

Margo was also not their first child together. I’m from the South and many traditionalists consider it bad etiquette/tacky to request gifts and/or host baby showers for persons already having had a child in recent years. It does tend to differ somewhat when the gender of new baby is different, which is the case here. However, I completely agree with your statement that it could very well also be a sign that they had few close friends due to a strained/tumultuous/isolating relationship. Good catch. JMO.

As I mentioned last thread, I'm local and plenty of my friends have had their second+ kid. Not a single one of them has had a second baby shower or baby "sprinkle" or whatever you want to call it. I've never been given registry information for a second+ child. Baby registries do offer discounts if you sign up for one, however, so if someone needed things and wanted to save money, they could register for many items and then use a coupon just prior to birth to get a discount on anything left on the registry. That's my experience in this arena.

Why would police tell the CBS station in Austin that they don’t believe a search would be useful at this point? That was posted earlier on here, though I can’t find the link.

ETA: ignore my post. I read the quote wrong and so this reply doesn’t make sense in response. IDK but I’m almost certain they have never done an in depth search of that apartment. The reason I think this is because the media has been on this case right from the start and as far as I can recall (correct me if I’m wrong!), there haven’t been any news videos or photos showing them removing any sort of evidence from the apartment, right? I hope I just missed it. I just think if they did it, there would be videos or photos of it.

This friend has not spoken to Heidi since Summer. Heidi was pregnant, a 6-year-old boy, was going through a break-up and was supposed to move. In my book, a close friend would have checked up on her several times.

I noticed that, too, about SC saying making "kidS" lunches. IIRC, he also said he woke the "kidS" up that morning.

His daughter may have stayed the night, making it two kids to wake up to go to school. We don't know if the little girl lives with them, or if she did spend the night though. If she did, the use of plural would make sense.

Well, if he woke up the kids, inferring their son and a child from a prior marriage, who picked up that child from school?

Probably her own mommy. We don't really know much about their living arrangements regarding his daughter. The mother of the little girl could've asked him to not mention her if he absolutely didn't have to.

I was wondering if they were suspicious of another tenant. Are they searching every single apartment, or just certain ones?

It kind of looks like that's the case.

I would say it depends on the setup. idk tho. I have 2 large dogs and there is nothing that would work for a patio setup. But maybe something for a smaller one?

I’ve worked in property management. You have no idea how many piles of dog poop I’ve come across on people’s balconies. Bathtubs made into cat litter boxes...people are gross, believe me.

if the landlord doesn’t keep updated records of tenants’ vehicles, they may be going door to door asking about cars just to rule out cars they see in footage that belong there.

Could be anything. My opinion is that a review of traffic/security footage has them convinced that H and M are located in a finite area and they don't need the public contaminating a potential crime scene.

The pic of her parents in front of the apartments and the one of her car shows how everything is so close. Some of you may live in that area, but I must rely on the photos.

Got sad when I read there was a grocery list in her car.

Wonder if they got video of the local grocery store parking lot? Maybe she stopped there, made a few calls, checked bank balances online etc and was accosted by someone. Car could have been driven home later. Address would have been in her wallet. MOO. Just having a hard time seeing how sonething occurred there with no visible evidence that we know of.

IF he planned this.. here’s how he could’ve gotten at least part of it done. I’m still a little stumped... no matter what, to me, it seems like someone else must have helped. IF his cell phone records ping and corroborate his work story, especially. If he had help w a coworker, he could’ve maybe Driven to work, given the coworker his phone (so it would look like he was on the road), taken a taxi back to his apartment, .... then rolled out w a suitcase taking another taxi to the airport, and used a burner phone to have his colleague pick him up.. I don’t know.. just trying to figure out how he could’ve done it all. But maybe (Most likely) he didn’t cover his tracks and LE knows exactly where she and baby Margo are I’m so sad for them, and poor Silas

The thing is, if they have CCTV footage of her around the apartment (which I don't know if they do), then they know if she left or not. And they would also know when he got there and when/how many times he left.

Texas DOT website has links to traffic cameras in Austin - looks like pretty extensive coverage on highways.

I live at the end of a cul-de-sac and have a camera that catches the comings and goings of everyone on the street - if someone were to abduct, or dispose of, one of my neighbors, and go undetected, they'd have to do everything via an alley, and I recently noticed that some telecom equipment on a pole in the alley is protected with a camera.

I just don't see how anyone could transport a person, or persons, in an urban area and not be tracked. Makes me wonder if that's the reason for the door-to-door search in the immediate area of the apartment complex - like if LE has seen enough footage to feel that they never left the area.

Yeah - so, what's odd about this is that in the google reviews of the apartment complex most complaints aside from the roaches are about the limits on parking permits and being randomly towed... So you have brought up something that has been puzzling me.

Besides the lack of details for the hours after he got home, when he speaks of that morning, he doesn't really speak of *that* particular morning. He mostly speaks of a usual, general routine. All very blasé.
It seems whenever he starts on that morning, it ever so subtly morphs into what the routine usually is.
Virtually the only thing he said about *that* particular morning, is the late start, leaving @ 6:40, and her making lunch when he left.

So, he speaks mainly of a general routine in the mornings, but not necessarily any details of that morning. Why? To avoid mentioning something unpleasant that morning? A quarrel? I mean, we know Heidi and son got to the school safely, so, all OK there; but why the vagueness (and scattered thoughts) about that morning?
And what was the reason for the "late start" that day?

I considered she might be in a shelter, but I would think that with all the publicity and LE resources out there, she or a shelter spokesperson would inform LE. LE would likely have put out a statement, found safe, no more comments.

That would be the best news.
Heidi may have thought, just leaving with her young baby, would be best.
SC could have their son, and she the little baby.

If we find this has happened, it is a shame, there has been 'no news' to date.
Perhaps, it takes days for arrangements, so Heidi will always be safe.
