I am pretty sure he has an older daughter from a previous relationship. So having a little girl shouldn't be that unusual for him to talk about.

Thanks, I had only seen her referred to as "child", which doesn't help.

On the bright side, that means there's possibly another babymama out there who can testify as to whether or not "beautiful women" is a weird locution...

Just for clarity: Margot was born 26 November.

I know there was confusion earlier, some reports said 2 weeks, some said two months.

Thank you. So she is in fact about 2 weeks old. This is a tragedy.

I know of some cases where the phone data was gotten (from AT&T) within 12 hours. I would really like to know how long it usually takes, though.

Yeah, and the phone being missing makes sense.

Assuming that this is foul play (which I am), then you’re probably dealing with an emotional event.

If that’s the case, you’d find a man with a huge problem on his hands, and very little time to build a false narrative.

He can’t dump her vehicle, because that’s logistically difficult (without help). There’s just no time for that.

So you claim that door is open and someone took mom and baby from the house. You leave all her belongings behind to sell that narrative.

Logically, her phone should be at home, but perhaps he can’t allow for that. Maybe there’s something on that phone that he doesn’t want law enforcement to see.

Hell, what’s on that phone could have started this whole thing in the first place.
I'm surprised he went with the 'stranger abduction' or 'neighbour kidnapped her' narrative.

It might have been more believable to say he was concerned with her mental state and had been trying to get her help.

Kind of like ' she was wearing a bikini and drinking a beer when she crossed the desert highway and disappeared.,...'
While reading and trying to catch up, I was going to say this. The “suspicious van” sounds a lot like getting a ride to Vegas while wearing a bikini and drinking a beer. Lol

Some people aren’t exactly “advanced thinkers.”

As you know, we’ve seen some dumb criminals lately.

Here's the deal, they have her dropping off at the school at 7:30, if this guy was missing from work at any point from that time until 2, he's toast.

What does he do for a living and where? I see the complex has a security gate, but haven't located any cameras yet. Anyone else?
Right! What we need to know at this point is was he at work? Was he there the whole time? Did he leave at any point? What time did he get there? And based on that time, could he have done something to Heidi and the baby before showing up at work? And what was his demeanor at work if he was there?

Police searching for missing Austin mother and her 2-week-old baby girl

She was last seen at 7:50 am at the school in this purple shirt.

I'm wondering if he wasn't married before and not yet divorced?

In the original/live video that was heavily edited by the news station, there was a point in the interview when his lips started quivering and he was visibly fighting to keep from crying...a person would have had to be a professional actor to fake that kind of facial movement.

However, he also reached several times to rub his eye in a completely unnatural-looking, contrived manner.

And there was even one moment where he appeared to have to keep himself from laughing/smiling almost.
It may have been when the reporter asked him what he would say to HB, but I can't recall exactly.
For others here who saw the original video, did anyone else notice or remember what I'm talking about?

"I feel horrible, but I'm masking the reasons for my feeling horrible," was the unspoken message I heard.
My ear may have deceived me, though.

Subjective impressions aren't facts.

JMO.
I did not see the original video but this "exclusive" CBS Austin news video depicts emotional SC looking away from the camera when citing personal information about HB. Odd statement by SC to call anybody -- don't care who you call if you see a suspicious car or van. Huh? CALL 911!

Also - I initially heard "Austin Mom" and only after viewing a second time did I think it could be "awesome Mom."

I can't abide the self-serving plea spoken to the media: "Come back!" He's already made it clear that he thinks foul play is at work in her disappearance.

I need to watch the video again but I wonder if the media just “showed up” like they did with CW, or if he knew they were coming.

ETA:
Lots of random “I wonders” going on over here.

ETA2;
I'm wondering if....

Ha! See what I mean!

I think my last 5 posts have “I wonder” in them

ETA3:
I wonder what traffic cam footage may potentially be able to reveal or not reveal here.

I'm more interested in what happened between 2 and 6. I find it highly suspect he got home, noticed a wide-open door and missing wife/baby and just went on with letting his older child be in childcare or whatever was the case after school.....the point of having to be called to retrieve him (if that's the case). I mean, maybe it was convenient for him that there was childcare in place, but.....something is very odd about that if that series of events is true. You can never know with MSM these days.

I'm assuming the son HB took to school around 7:50 AM was their son together and since it appears son was old enough to be in school full day I think it would be unlikely SC would not be divorced yet.

(If younger, would son go to daycare if mom on maternity leave and/or home?)

MOO

I wanna know everything from the time he got up until he got the phone call from the school. Every single detail of his day :)

Yep, or as I say, especially when I get heated, “I want to know what he eats for breakfast...”

Not looking very good, off-and-on relationship, recent child.... I think if things potentially had escalated, the child would have been the key :( , hypothetically. Not to speak about the jealousy / possessiveness aspect that sometimes occurs in such cases.

Oh yes, I agree it was their son he took to school but I wonder what his status is. It's not uncommon these days for couple to separate, move on and yet not formally divorce. I'm thinking in terms of possible triggers for arguments seeing they just had their second child together. If not formally divorced, this could be a contentious issue. JMO
