There's got to be an elevator in that complex. Maybe LE has the perp on video leaving with a suitcase or something like that, via elevator. SC doesn't seem real bright, IMO. He's out there flapping his gums and can't keep his story straight. He could think he got away with it for all we know....MOO OF COURSE!

No, he said it was upstairs. 5:48 mark. MOO

ETA: Then later says it was in the car. o_O

Omg, he sure does. How confusing. MOO
"If it doesn't add up, truth isn't a part of the equation." or something very close to that. JMO The purse was either in the apartment or in the car. How does one mix that up unless they are lying?

I sure hope so, or it is the height of incompetence. I mean, a 2-week-old baby missing for 24-48 hours could be doomed. We haven't seen an Amber Alert. We haven't seen it all over the news. I live a few hours' north of Austin and haven't heard much about it.

Heidi's mother drove straight to town from Louisiana as soon as she heard about her daughter and granddaughter being missing and met with detectives. I would think that she would be all over the news if she didn't think that enough was being done. Time is of the essence. They have been missing since Thursday. It is now Sunday.

I do not believe that Heidi just left. I believe that her phone was turned off and thrown away to hide the evidence of the last place she had been. The police should be able to get her phone records from her phone company to see where it last pinged.

Of course, her boyfriend is saying that it was turned off, which would possibly mean that she could have been kidnapped with the kidnapper shutting off the phone right away. It just seems strange to me that the kidnapper had the foresight to grab her, the baby and her phone but nothing else.

That brings up a good point. If it was a baby stealer, why take her phone? I mean I guess if she had arranged to meet up to buy some baby item that could be shown on her phone.

(BTW, pregnant moms and new moms, please do not meet strangers to get baby items.)

I do not think the complex has an elevator. Most of this style do not. Ours does not and it is three stories. All Handicapped access apartments are bottom floor and there are staircases on the buildings. It would be

Well heck, a purse with money in an unlocked car.
We can rule out a mugging, robbery, hijacking by a stranger.

Thank you. Yes, the most recent full video was very helpful! He stated she told him about the spending $25 at the book fair.

“Which was okay”.

  • #728
Did Heidi need permission to spend money?

  • #729
It will be interesting where TES starts searching tomorrow, if they come tomorrow. LE has to invite them.
I sure hope everyone's cell phone is pinging where it's supposed to be pinging.

If foul play is involved, I don't think it happened in the apartment. Heidi may have been lured out on a pretext, or something happened elsewhere.

I think so too. The vehicle and all of her things were returned to the complex by someone other than Heidi. (IMO)

I wondered if maybe the 'purse' in the car was actually a diaper bag? I used to leave one in the car so I'd always have needed diapers etc.
But in another interview he says the diaper bag was in the apartment, right? Please correct me if I'm misremembering.

Following. Super sad and super angry. Not going to post my thoughts because I have opinions which I know cant be posted.

(Dang I havent been here in ages....) Nice to see a lot of very familiar names still here! :D

That is the first thing that jumped out to me! The only people who have to call their spouse to announce $25 spent on books for their children are victims of financial abuse IMO. I'd tell DH when he got home, I would not call to "get the ok" for having spent $25.

Maybe money is tight and he told her you can only spend $25.

Extremely unpopular opinion, but I just don’t see this being so obvious.. In the full video he talks about believing she was at a friend’s house in the same apt complex, so that must have been something she regularly does. This provides an answer to the question of “why didn’t he call police earlier” I guess I can go either way with this, but for some reason my gut is telling me something different happened.. I hate to even think of this but seeing as they were on an upper level apartment, in a busy apt complex, how would this work? I just can’t see being able to dispose of anything without people seeing? Though I also believe people are very much in their own worlds, so I guess it could happen.. I don’t know, guys, I’m all over the board on this one!!

You could be right. But if you got home at 2 and wife and baby weren’t there and you assumed she was with a friend in the complex, when would you call or text, if ever, to see when she was coming home or where she was?

Yeah, I would have gone over there and asked if she was there.

I just don't think he did anything. Jmo

He seems genuinely concerned about where she is and he is crying real tears, runny nose etc.

Forgot to insert quote and don't know how to do it. Response to "maybe money was tight" comment.

Are we really going to do this?

Of course they might be on a budget, of course she may have had to limit her spending, but calling on the drive home to get the ok for having bought your child books - while driving with an infant - seems like the behavior of someone who wants to avoid predictable fallout. Otherwise why couldn't that wait until he came home?

Shannon Ryan on Twitter
“Not knowing what to do is the hardest part. I don’t know where she’s at — I don’t know if she’s suffering. I don’t know anything, and I can’t help. I’m helpless, and that’s the worst feeling in the world.” said Shane Carey, Heidi Broussard’s boyfriend, and baby Margot’s father.

Well, yes. I would, but I am a paranoid mom who loves true crime and is riddled with anxiety!! Haha!
