It seems like in one report I read yesterday that they referred to the older boy as the fiancé’s son. Do we have any clarification on that?

Not that I believe for a minute she took off to start a new life two weeks after giving birth.

Father makes plea for missing Austin mother and her 2-week-old baby girl | kvue.com

"... Shane Carey said he's been with Broussard for nearly a decade and they have two kids together, as well as a third child from his previous marriage...."
"I just don't see why no one heard any screams or anything out here so we're trying to put the puzzle pieces together," Shane Carey said...."

Assuming the boy picked up from school is also Heidi and Shane's.

The most telling thing for me is the beginning of the Fox interview, his phone starts going off. He doesn't even look to see who it is and puts it on silent. Ummm, what if it were the cops and they found Heidi & Margot? Things that make you go hmmn.

Edited to add, this is not accurate information, please disregard. He clearly saw who was calling on his phone when he silenced it. Sorry guys!!!

Amber alert criteria is super strict. They basically have to have info that evidences an abduction took place and sufficient descriptors of a vehicle or abductor in order to issue an Amber alert.
I looked up Texas requirements for Amber Alert and am not sure that it is an absolute requirement that the "abductor's" vehicle be known. All of the criteria concerning the victim and an abduction is the main criteria.

Wouldn't this qualify as an abduction if the police took this at face value? I mean, this is a newborn and a mother who left home with nothing, not even a working phone. Her boyfriend seems to think that this is an abduction. I don't...however, he does...

Wow. This interview is a LOT different than the other!

Kind of a treasure trove for the statement analysis folks.

He did, he said her phone was "off".

Do you have a source for that? I never saw that nor heard it. He was very clear that he called her at noon and her phone was off.

If police do not know anything that we don't know and are taking everything at face value, it would be extremely negligent not to issue an Amber Alert. The Amber Alert system is for children who have been abducted and are in immediate danger.

Well, this mother and newborn baby have nothing with them, not even a working phone. So, either (1) they have been abducted by strangers; or (2) they weren't abducted, and both bodies are hidden some place; or (3) the mother is dead, and the baby was dropped off with someone out of sheer panic to make it look like they both were abducted.

So, I just hope the police have more inside information than we have.

Unless they have actual evidence of an abduction and descriptors of a car and/or specific abductor, this would not fit the amber alert criteria.

Can LE get a warrant for his cell records ? Or does he have to be charged with something first ?

Yes. They can get a warrant without charges. They just need probable cause.

At the end of the Fox interview, he does say he called all her friends and no one had heard from her. But you're right, he assumed for over 4 hours she was at a friend's house at the complex. But he never once walks over there to check?

In other interviews he says he called all her friends AFTER the school had him pick up their son at 6:00 pm.

In the Jennifer Dulos missing mom of 5, LE
requested the cell phone of her estranged husband and asked for his passwords, etc. This
was the day after she went missing and in Ct.

I'd be very surprised if LE isn't already tracking
his calls the last few days.

Has FBI been called in here? Or State Police?

Wow! That's exactly what Scott Peterson did during an interview about Laci being missing. He did that because he knew that she wasn't missing. She was dead!

Someone needs to point this out to the Austin Police!

He was in the middle of an interview.

I have had a loved one go missing and did interviews. Hell no. Absolutely no. You would IMMEDIATELY answer and make the reporter wait.

In those initial days everyone missing a loved one is frantic and desperate and so, so hopeful that the next call will be it.

"Uh, her cell phone is missing. It's been turned off. Whenever I pulled up around 1:40; it's been off since then."

Still no mention of the 12:00 phone call from him directly but I'm still listening. MOO

The entire raw interview. It's certainly not rehearsed. He seems utterly confused and emotionally all over the place. Seems genuine in his reactions, he's not acting imo.
To me, for now, either he really doesn't know what happened and is very frightened, or...something accidental and unpremeditated happened and he can't process it.

Feel free. My hands are blue from sitting on them.
I <3 you, Margarita.
Extremely unpopular opinion, but I just don’t see this being so obvious.. In the full video he talks about believing she was at a friend’s house in the same apt complex, so that must have been something she regularly does. This provides an answer to the question of “why didn’t he call police earlier” I guess I can go either way with this, but for some reason my gut is telling me something different happened.. I hate to even think of this but seeing as they were on an upper level apartment, in a busy apt complex, how would this work? I just can’t see being able to dispose of anything without people seeing? Though I also believe people are very much in their own worlds, so I guess it could happen.. I don’t know, guys, I’m all over the board on this one!!
I agree about being all over the board. He didn’t look as guilty as I thought he would in the interview. He speaks about both of them in the present tense, he specifically talks about her great group of friends and how loved she is. He speaks about her and the baby very positively. He also looks like he’s been crying for days and hasn’t slept. Very different from the chris watts interview.
