Yehh, I know, it's hard. Thanks for looking.
I found his FB page under the name you provided @LordMo. On one picture (posted January, 14, 2020) it looks like he has a tattoo of a heart on his chest. In that case he isn't "our" John Doe. Or is it a joke (fake)? Can somebody take a look please. Log in or sign up to view

I never thought this would take so long :(
Just sent a reminder e-mail to NamUs correspondent to see if I can drum up a bit of interest.

hello I’m new here but I have also been trying to identify the boy in the photo, I came across a Facebook post from a guy named edy xep about a lost Guatemalan boy Living on the street in Houston who looked alot like John Doe in the photo. The post was from November 2019 & has no detail about him other than him being lost & was abandoned by people he was trafficked with and if anyone knows him or any of his family, that is all. however I did find the exact location on the photo of the boy I suspect to be him (panadera pachecos next door to a Gas station called ‘stop n joy’ on hardwin road in Houston) it is only 4 km from John doe’s final resting place as pictured below. It might be him but because he has no family It may be impossible to find him

The ears look very different shapes to me.

They do look similar, but in the photo you have of the person the lips, eyebrows and ears look a bit different to me. Would be worth reporting though.

That's insane, I was wondering what happened with this lead because the guy looks near exact to our Doe. I'm surprised it wasn't a match.

Just saw this!! Crazy that LE processed this comparison so quickly (within one month); they must have also thought he was a match :( oh well, back to the drawing board.

Still looking out for this young man. Could he be Pedro Ixcotoyac Pu? Height is off, but....

That's a really good theory! I can definitely see something kicking off after a football game, especially because it looks like the Houston Texans lost the game o_O Wish I knew where this guy was found! Kind of unusual for NamUs not to provide a location, they usually give an approx address (the coordinates that come up w/ Google Maps are always wayyyy off). I can confirm though that the arena where the game was taking place and the hospital he was brought to (I'm guessing they would have brought him to the nearest hospital?) are very close - 10 min drive.

I will say though that the shaved design on the side of one's head is really in-style with young men at the moment. A star is a common design because it's easy for the barber (only straight lines!) :p I'm guessing it's even more popular in Texan barbershops, because the big star in their flag. So, it's possible it's unrelated to affiliation w/ a sports team
The Star design and also Texas Teams are also what Tango Blast has for tattoos. Which is a Texas Gang

Hard to tell, that picture is so bad (looks like an inmate booking photo so I'm surprised they don't have any better ones?). I found one Pedro Pu from NJ on fb, but I can't tell if it's the same guy as in NCMEC... passing resemblance but idk.

So sad that this young man hasn't been ID'd yet. :(

I've been staring at him for a while and honestly, I feel that he's South Asian or perhaps Native American. I was doing some reverse image searching on him, hoping in vain that I'd get a hit from social media- no luck so far but the results that come up for similar featured young men have been pretty consistently Filipino. Obviously that's just a computer algorithm trying to match, but I found it interesting all the same. (Same for his hairstyle- without the star it seems it's a very popular hairstyle for Asian youths.)
