TX - Investigators Searching for Girl in 'Ecstasy' Video

Just saw this on NG...sickening!

"She's taking that hit like a soldier," a female voice says. "She's rolling, girl, she's rolling."

"Rolling" is a term commonly used

I have no doubt she was given a "HIT" of Ectasy.

As christine said, rollling is the term "they" use when they're tripping on ecstasy.

Whether the child tests positive for drugs or not, I think LE should take the "adults" at their original word and treat this case as if they were telling the truth on the tape. If they said on the tape that the girl was drugged, LE should believe their original story.

If you watch the tape closely you can see an infant being passed around in the very back of the minivan.

My niece (on hubbers side) about a month ago she started feeling bad, went to hospital, they were treating her for vertigo, she got worse and worse....last Monday, she fell out. She is 24, in a coma, on life support, ventilator and stomach tube, the cause..just found out......... she was addicted to X and trying to come off of it, thank God someone spoke up and told the family about the drugs.

I know it will never happen, but, if were the one bringing the charges, it would be attempted murder, for everyone in that van!

I am so sorry for her and your family. Thank God someone did speak up! I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs~

What a little sweetie. How can anyone do this to a little girl?

I hope they find her fast. :(

NG dedicated at least 1/2 of her show to this incident last night. At first I wasn't sure, but by the end of the segment, it definitely looked like she was on some type of drug. The girls in the video talked about her taking it and one of them something to the effect, 'you shouldn't have given her the X,' to which the other replied something like, 'she wanted it.'

It was the consensus of the people on NG show that yes, she did appear to be under the influence. They also said that although X does disappear within a 7 to 8 hour period, there still may be some way to determine if she'd been given any drugs.

Officials scrutinize video of girl

By MONICA RHOR
Associated Press

HOUSTON - Authorities have identified and interviewed the young women who videotaped themselves laughing at a toddler and joking that she had taken the drug Ecstasy.

It is still unclear whether the toddler, who was rolling her eyes and acting strangely while sitting unsecured on the floor of a van, had been given any drugs, said Lt. John Martin, a spokesman with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

.............snip...........

A CPS caseworker will look into the case to see if the agency has had contact with the family, Olguin said.

"We're going to be looking at the whole picture, not just this incident," she said.

I'm so disgusted and furious by this. :furious: If they find that there are no drugs in this child's system, I hope they at least charge these people with child endangerment. :furious: What is wrong with people??? I've said it before, some people should not be allowed to have children. :furious:

Here is an article from the Houston Chronicle this morning.

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/4958191.html

The people who were in the van told authorities the video was shot on June 22, Olguin said. The two small children have been placed in the custody of relatives while the investigation is conducted, she said.

"We are looking at more than just whether a crime was committed," she said. "We also are looking at the welfare of these children, if they are in a safe environment, if there is cause for concern."

Hi guys,

Where did you view the video? I tried youtube but nothing comes back...

TIA

I see you've gotten the link. IIRC, youtube has deleted it from that site. I saw it played over and over and over on NG last night. :(

I'm glad to see the children are staying with relatives while this is investigated.

The very least the State should do is test that baby's hair. I do not believe, not for a minute, that she was not under the influence of a drug (probably Ecstatsy, since that's what they were talking about on the video). Those girls (or women, I'm not sure how old they are) are just trying to cover their butts now by saying she was only playing around. That child was drugged.

Hiya Deb! I think they meant the high last 6 hours...I think you can take a hair folical test months after and be able to detect it, I may be wrong...will research when I have the time.

Hey Christine!

Someone asked on the show about testing hair and they said it might show up if she was regularly given the drug. I sorta got the impression that if it was a one time thing it might not show up. They should try anyway.

And, I don't believe it could be the first time. If it was, the child would be panicing with how it was making her feel. :(

Thats true carpe

I know alot of people that have tried this drug and i've been with them on their first times and they all literally FREAKED out. because the feelings are really intense and scary for someone that doesnt regulary do drugs and its their first time.

I don't have any experience with x, but back in the day, 25 years ago, I remember the first pot buzz, even hash a couple times. NOT GOOD. This little girl (baby actually), it wasn't the first time. :(

I'm afraid you're right Carpe. They may have been telling the truth when they said she wanted it...she may be addicted.

OMG, do you really think so. I just can't comprehend it.

I just can't wrap myself around the threads I have read in the last couple of days....some days are just harder than others, I guess.

I don't think this child was exposed regularly, its common to see uncontrolled eye momements, or rolling from somebody who took ecstasy. hence the term "rolling." Its not common in any other drug and happens during the peak of the experience.. she referred to her as 'rolling hard' i think. It was a disgusting video to watch. THe people in the vehicle were scum.

Me too. Some people would say, these are for sure the end times. Society has gone evil in every way.:(
