I am just reiterating what many of you have already posted... I am surprised these two have not been found... And brought home (her)/to jail (him).....

without a past record it doesn't seem like this perp has had the experience it would take to avoid LE/FBI.....

I am wondering if there are extenuating circumstances...

could this perp be armed and dangerous in addition to being a desperate pervert?

Remember she did willingly get in his vehicle, laugh at parent trying to rescue her, willingly had a relationship with him. She is 14 years old which is not a baby! She shares responsibility for this situation as it takes two to tango!!

It is scaring me to check this page hours after my previous check to find no new information. I am afraid something bad may have happened as I do not understand with FBI on this case how a sighting has not been reported or trace has not been found and made public so this child can be found.

With no updates, I am in review mode of the info we have to date. One parent was quoted as saying this dude treated her like one of his daughters. I would hope he would care for his very own daughters thus my comment about caring.
I do not want to argue so we can just agree to disagree.

I am not excusing this scum bag either. He is disgusting. Needs to be locked up ASAP and should not be allowed unsupervised contact with his daughters.

Yep, I am thinking one bad decision has led to another bad decision, a decision that can't be reversed. This would explain no sightings. Even if they switched vehicles, it seems the abandoned vehicle would be spotted somewhere.

This is day 3. I am hoping Haylie will be found today.

I'm hoping the silence in this case the past 24 hrs is due to the fact the FBI is involved and they may have some credible leads they don't want leaked to the media. The perp is probably watching the news and they know it. It's like other perps that listen to police scanners to stay one step ahead. We've seen it in other cases on WS and I hope that's whats happening here.

He doesn't care for her. He cares for himself. Sick ***************** **** **** *****!!!!! If recovered, she is scarred for life emotionally to the point this will haunt and follow her forever in every decision she makes in life. I'm so sick of these grown men preying on babies . Unforgivable !
The only chance there is of them giving up and coming back is if they run completely out of money and have no resource at all, not one drop of gas or one bite of food ! Then they start stealing and maybe then they get caught .

We all know this is one sick puppy. However, the BBM appeal from flutterflies was made to West as if she was speaking to HIM. In his sick twisted mind, you can bet he is completely convinced that he DOES care. So taking flutterflies to task for her statement is silly, as SHE does not think this guy cares, she is appealing to him, who DOES think he cares.

From the article quoted above: Sources told KPRC Local 2 that West may have taken camping gear with him, so the two may be at a camping site.


That sounds like a good lead for LE.

We camped all over Texas when I was growing up, but it was always in "official" campsites.. There would be an office or at the very least a guard shack, to check in and pay for the spot. I am sure there are plenty of places that aren't official campsites, where one could set up a tent and go unnoticed for a while, especially this time of year.

I understand what you are saying....BUT....
NO 14 year old should hold power over a 33 year old adult.
Not a child over a parent...
a student over a teacher...
a girl over a man.

A girl may want to have power over an adult male...but if the adult male is mature, decent and law-abiding, no amount of seduction will work.

I agree with you. Somebody has to be the adult in these things. One could forgive her for making bad decisions because she is not mature enough to actually think things through. But the male in his 30's... that is not so easily looked over. He needs to be the adult here. He should do the right thing and bring her home!

They may have camping gear, it is stated in this article...

I imagine LE/FBI are checking any/all campgrounds...

Hopefully they are at a State or National Park... Since these campgrounds have officials and guest information...
