In the silver alert it says the right side passenger part of the car has damage from hitting a construction barrel and might have orange paint on it.
I would like to know if this damage occured before he went missing, or it has been reported after. The "might" have paint on it has me wondering if there was a sighting of him hitting the barrel. If so, where was this location?

From the Clyde Police Department facebook page:
"Earlier today James West’s vehicle was located deep on a ranch in Callahan County. The vehicle was high centered and stuck in a field. Mr. West was not located with the vehicle. Air and ground search efforts took place all day to locate Mr. West, but were unsuccessful. Search efforts have been suspended for tonight due to darkness and concern for searchers’ safety. Search efforts will continue tomorrow morning. We will post additional updates as they become available."

Clyde PD commented on their own post above that the vehicle is stuck "in a very remote and rough area" on a private ranch, so they are not accepting public's help in the search at this time. They have previously asked for assistance when he was reported parked on highway 67.

I don't think that was him on Hwy 67. I personally think this is where he has been all along. That is the area he went missing from and highway 67 is a long trek from there. I guess he could have gone down that was and circled back, but he didn't have money for gas and no one has reported seeing him get gas. If so, he's been on foot for 10 days.
I am hoping they find him today, but I am afraid he might be deceased. Let's hope for a miracle.

I have a friend who lives in Clyde (very small town). It has been rumored his car was found on a ranch just off Finley Road. That is just north west of Putnam. IF that is where his car was found, I can't see him ever leaving the area, but that is just my opinion. I've been watching the Clyde Police Department website and no update, so I think they have not found him. My friend says they have had SAR and cadaver dogs out there all day.

We can always hope for a miracle, tho they seldom happen on here!

His daughter posted in the fb group that they found James West deceased this afternoon. He was located near a creek bed about 2.5 miles away from his car. I'll try and find a news link when one comes out.
So sorry for the West family and friends.
