Death penalty as a "bargaining chip" for them to plead guilty and avoid a trial? I sort of don't agree with this, at it opens the door for an "Alford Plea". Texas does allow this. And I personally don't like it.

I haven't seen any news stories about renaming the wildlife refuge. This is such a beautiful honor for a beautiful child who likely would have brought much good to the world, MOO. In terms of news reporting, its the same news recycled over and over. On repeated lies, I wish news reporters would call known lies out, fact checking in strong terms, and stop repeating stories about them. The renaming of the refuge is good news coming out of bad news, tragic news. And I hope to see any future stories focus about it, focus solely on Jocelyn and who she was. Anyone needing further details could find another story to read.

local houston 'khou-tv' has been following the case all along. jocelyn was 12 years old. she was brutally killed by two who should not have been in this country -imo.
