Awaiting COD

But something to ponder.

Could he have been moved there later?

Do you know Joseph and/or his family? You should get verified as an insider if you do!

Yes I knew Joseph-dated him when I was in hs & he hunted with my brother. My dad, brother, & me also knew his late father and older sister. I still speak to both his mother and brother Tim . Joe's sister in law is also my daughters cheer coach.

I wasn't aware of Joe having a prosthetic. Of cours it, is totally possible something had happened over the years that I hadn't heard about. At the same time, King City is a very small community-it sure seems like I'd o f heard something about it. Regardless, Joe was a good guy and a great friend to me and my brother. His death has had a huge impact on my emotions and thoughts. I'm so confused and bewildered as to what could of or may of happened to him, not to mention the amount of time it took for him to be found. Had I been in a position to head to Texas myself-I would of done so without hesitation. It wouldn't have taken me more than a month to find him. At least that's how I feel. I can't imagine what is family is going thru. Joe had a huge spirit and strong presence-his passing will be felt intensely .

I don't think Joe had a prosthetic I think someone just asked if he did...

We see tons of missing people here but Joe's photo just hit a chord with me. His vibe transcends the photo (sorry to sound so dramatic but it's how I feel) and I believe everyone who knew him when they say he was a genuinely kind person with a can-do attitude. He was a solid man. RIP Joe.

It was asked about because the article posted in post # 301 says they are using the serial numbers on the prosthetics to ID the body. It was further speculated that maybe the article was referring to dentures of some kind...although that is very odd wording for the article if that is the case.

I do wish we would hear some answers.

The passenger side of his car was up against the bushes, the motor was running and all of his personal items were still in the car but he wandered over a football field away from the vehicle to do what exactly? Foul play is not suspected, and he wasn't struck by a passing vehicle. So why did he leave his vehicle on the side of the road, which some have said is well traveled, as if he would be back quite shortly, yet walked 390 feet away and then what - he just died?

Would he be the type to try to rescue a stray dog that kept running further away and succumbed to a heart attack/stroke/poisonous snake?

I doubt he walked that far to get sick or to relieve himself. Very odd.

May his family be graced with love during their grief.

The stray dog is an interesting idea, but would he run that far after it? When I've been in that situation my main concerns were getting the dog off the road and not getting bit.

Maybe he got out of the truck to be sick and was so sick he also became disoriented?

This is out in the country. I doubt he would get out and chase a stray dog. I feel it will be something not mentioned in the thread so far. I am awaiting toxicology to see if my guess is correct.

Another possible scenario that came to my mind is if he stepped out of his vehicle for some reason and was attacked by killer bees.
The only other scenarios that would make sense in my mind is if he fell asleep at the wheel and became disoriented or if he had a medical episode.

Not to be disrespectful or morbid here...but didn't the family go out there themselves to search? And wouldn't one have noticed birds or smells? If I understand correctly, he was not to far from his vehicle? It would have been long enough time to have passed? I may have missed it, but did LE think he had been there from the Sunday they believe his phone last pinged in that area?

I was going to ask the same question. IIRC the family was here and said they searched the area. That leads me to believe the smell had already dissipated and he was in some tall grass and was difficult to find. Everyone was quick to blame LE for not finding him, but it appears his family did not find him either. And no, I will say this now.......I do not believe his body was moved.

I will agree his vehicle should have been searched sooner and the area should have been searched sooner, but I do not believe it would have altered the outcome or saved Joseph's life. I am still awaiting toxicology and see what the COD will be before I go any further. There are several scenarios I think could have happened here.

I do not think questioning or blaming Joe's family is going to make this sad case any less painful. He is deceased, he was thankfully found. Let's give the family peace at this difficult time.
