That's so not true @kittythehare ! You've contributed several insightful, factual posts.

I couldn't agree with you more, Seattle!

Kitty has been a valuable member on this case, and I'm sure she will be on every case she may follow in the future. I have throughly enjoyed posting with Kitty, and all who have.

It's what sets WS apart from all others.

Imo, little did our Tricia realize how she was light years ahead, and was a blazing pioneer...when it came to making sure we all here are recognized as having equal INDIVIDUAL value.

Each one of her members are treated as having the same equal value. How refreshing.

At the time when joining in 2004, and for many years later, I didn't even realize how blessed we are to belong where we are EACH treated equally on an individual basis.

But more, and more into today's toxic climate of putting ALL humans in collective boxes or categories, groups etc. , instead of the individuals each human beings are..it makes me greatly appreciate WS, and our leader, and MODs even more now for long recognizing each of us as individuals.

Felons are allowed to testify in court, and often do. It's up to the jury to try to figure out if he's believable or not.
Also Hermus spoke out after he died and said it's a pity there weren't more like him , that he was brave to testify nad many had refused.
And he would certainly have known JB's full history .
I really think Hermus did Texas proud.
His final words regarding people shooting others in their own apartments
'The state of Texas will not accept this'
So JB was brave to testify, despite his occupation and criminal history.
He did good and he did that right and his murder is still a tragedy even if he was not a first class citizen.
In the warrants for the Louisiana, JB is described as the complainant and the DPD have vowed to find and catch his killers.
Even though he was a dealer, he is being given the same rights as any other citizen.
And that is great for the world to behold.
Drug dealing exists because a market for drugs exist.
Because society has created a vacuum in every country in the world from which people need to and want to escape.

I did various courses in drugs in society and the big question was always 'why do people take drugs/'
The answer was oftentimes 'For fun'

Ita! No matter how JBs death came to be he was given recognition, often competely ignored, of what many AA men are facing on a day to day basis in their own communities everywhere.

To solve any grave issue, they first must be given national attention putting a much needed spotlight on them first.

We must find out the root causes of why so many AAs are either likely to be in jail or prison or WHY thousands every single year are murdered by men of their own race with thousand more AA men who have attempted to murder them.

The gravest danger they face every day is being murdered by others who are also AA, and of the same gender. It's an monumental epidemic that most don't want to even talk about. Imo. Even by many of those in ipowerful positions who could help resolve them if they would address them. It's happening right in their own cities.

It pains me greatly how most seem to dwell on only AAs who have been killed by polie officers of all races.

Especially when purposefully, imo, ignoring the statistic that most all of them were ruled to be justifiable by outside investigators or the DOJ.

Instead they are all put into the same category implying all were unjustifiable which is as far from the truth as it can get.

Until people are willing to be truthful putting out all of the facts... no grave plight will really be resolved within the AA communities.

In fact approximately one thousand per year are shot, and killed each year by police officers in a country of over 330+ million population, with the vast overwhelming majority of those who are shot, and killed are whites along with other races like Hispanic or Asian. Etc.

Just perpetrating the same old myth... meant to deceive has never, and will never resolve any root cause.

It only makes it worse because so many now seem way too willing to accept anything as true instead of wanting the facts.

Imo, In truth if Josh Brown hadn't testified in AGs trial he wouldn't have his own dedicated thread nor would anyone have even known his name.

I'm sure you've already noticed how his thread has dropped in posts once it became known who murdered him, and why. :(

I have long said here I am a staunch advocate in justice for all. I've never wavered nor will I ever.

It does everyone who has been murdered, and their families a grave injustice when anyone feels only justice is warranted IF they are targeted or chosen as worthy depending on WHO they are.

To believe in justice for all it must include EVERYONE. If not, it's simply hollow meaningless words.

I have no doubt JB was loved, and has left his family in tears of sadness over losing him.

I certainly noticed. I think the possibility that a police department had a witness executed as retribution for his testimony was really exciting to some people. I get that it would be very newsworthy had that been the case. But I think some people (not necessarily just here at WS) were kind of disappointed to find out the actual truth of the matter.

The truth is apparently much less compelling.

Totally agree. And that comment about them doing it for fun is totally true imo.
I know you'll agree with this. Fun is ok if you're not hurting anyone. But it's disconcerting that so little is mentioned these days about how the kids are being affected by parents who need the next fix?

true, and not just parents, sometimes it's even third generational..fourth, even..
But, of course all classes of society experiment and become addicted to 'recreational drugs', not even including the opioids..
People frequently say they had choices, but did they all really even know they had a choice when their entire worlds were using and abusing?

....like when the parents and grandparents used drugs and it seems normal to the user?
And society is saying it's ok as well, and starting to legalize it.
It seems there's a whole lot of details about MJ: what kind of mj is allowed (natural/synthetic), and how much you're allowed to have, etc. And I was just reading that people will always want street MJ (over the pharm-aceutical) because of the expensive. Gone are the simpler days. I don't think I'll ever figure it all out.
And I know I'm repeating myself but we know it's great to have fun, but SOMEBODY has to watch the kids... I'd like that to be an ad on TV.

Anytime I hear someone regurgitate that drugs are victimless crimes it makes my head want to explode because it is a downright lie.

How many have to die? How many families have to be destroyed? How many children have to be grossly neglected, severely abused or murdered for all of the countless talking head mouthpieces to shut the hell up, and quit showing their ignorance, and lies? Gah!

I've been blessed its never touched any of my family yet, but I've seen the utter devastation its caused.

I follow all of it online, and when a media channel covers it. What's even sadder most national MSM never covers it.:(

Amber Guyger was abused as a child.
She became a cop.
She was abused again, as a cop, by her senior partner.
Amber Guyger 'tried' marijuana.
I'm not writing a defense for her.. but just noticing...irrelevant, really.

Did the 'tried MJ' come up in her testimony? -- I completely missed it, although I know her tox screen was negative of drugs/alcohol at time of shooting.

The drug study users are similar to joining a gang: fill a void, peer pressure, and fun.

Yeah, it was on her police academy application form.. actually not sure if it came up in the trial but was published. Yes, her tox was negative for night of murder

Relative to the Nov 2018 Dallas Club shooting incident, and following up comments attributed to JB's parents, it appears that K Morris, N Diggs, unknown suspect*, and JB , were all raised in Lancaster, TX area.

I believe that all except JB still live there.

A group of childhood friends...

I get the sense that JB became the odd man out, perhaps by choice, seeking a life of easy money, and high risk that accompanies the dealing life.

I'm also afraid the victim of the Club incident (ND) was similar to BJ. Another peaceful man shot dead that is still mourned and missed by his extended family and friends.

I posted earlier that I believed some of JB's tears in the courtroom were for himself. Maybe a premonition of his own death.

Perhaps the reality that a (possible) childhood friend wanted him dead last November, and still wanted him dead.

I'm sorry for JB's own children, family, and friends that he did not live his promise to the court (previous letter to Judge) to change his life, and live on the right side of the law.

There was news that a candlelight vigil for JB was in the works for Tuesday --but all went silent when news of how he died, and suspects arrested.

Again, nobody deserves to be shot dead in their car park, and hope at least one will be scared straight by this tragedy.

*Assumption based on trio birthday celebration with KM & ND prior to the shooting.

November killing may not have been a turf ar after all?
BUT S2 is still missing acc to this
According to an arrest-warrant affidavit, Brown and another man got into a fight outside a northwest Dallas strip club early on Nov. 23. When Brown and his friends tried to leave, 26-year-old Kendall Deshonn Morris grabbed a gun from his SUV and handed it to the man Brown had fought, the affidavit says.

That man started shooting, killing 25-year-old Nicholas Diggs and striking Brown in the right foot.

Dallas police said Tuesday that they had no evidence the two shootings were related.
What we know about the Dallas slaying of Joshua Brown, after arrests and rampant rumors

But, it is still within the realm of possibility that they were connected? Or not?
Either way S2 is still missing and un-named weirdly.
It's still a mystery.
Trial could be an interesting one to follow.
Especially if there are no witnesses.

Only element in common here is JB.

And I don't see any connection to the AL trio, other than the coincidence that both events each have a fugitive on the loose.

At least with JB murder, the fugitive TC Green is named, and LE know who they are looking for.

Still think the Dallas Club shooting falling under snitch, stitch, ditch.
Seems to me that unnamed suspect is somebody to fear.

Nobody talking in almost a year - probably won't ever know who it is unless somebody gets jammed up and takes a deal to squeal.

@oceanblueeyes you are so correct. On every single point. Nothing will ever be resolved unless there can be forthright discussion about the things that are going on and the reasons for what is happening. People are too divided and too quick to take offense. (Poor Ellen and GWB!). Somehow on this thread, I was accused of implying JB lived/frequented a part of town where alot of gay people live. I don't even know where that came from. I am so tired of the division. I am also sure JB was loved. Like I have said before, I have lived around drug culture, but still, many dealers did have their good points and expressed kindness to me. Some were truly monsters. I'm not that eloquent. Can't we all just get along????????????
ETA: I'm grateful for my time in a place where drugs were rampant. I got alot of insight...like not all convicted felons are evil. What I also observed is that even within families, children growing up together in the exact same environment, some of them retired from the military or became teachers, others chose a life of repeated incarceration. It's really a question of personal responsibility. IMO.

You lie!
You are very eloquent indeed.
I agree... we can all get along.
We had 3 different murders to 'cope with' here...
I think we did good overall... sorting and extracting facts in each case and separating them.. no mean feat.

Hi there Kitty,
Thanks for your kindness. I did edit my comment. I think it's important!
