yes that is exactly the field. When you are going opposite from Pearland High School Oiler Dr is called Bailey Rd. Great Sleuthing IMO

Pearland police will call off the search for a missing teenager at dusk. The search for Joshua Wilkerson will resume tomorrow morning at 8am

Gosh, if this was my son I can't imagine the search being stopped. God bless Josh & his family and friends during this difficult time.

How's the weather there tonight? I'm praying it stays mild...I'm North of Pearland and we are getting a few sprinkles.
The area I mapped just doesn't look all that massive...seems to me that they could have searched the entire field by now.
My first thought is someone is leading LE on a goose chase....those teens better come clean and quick if Josh is still alive, otherwise they will be charged with murder.

Nearly 200 volunteers searched today an area near Pearland Junior High South for Joshua Wilkerson. He went missing after his half-day at a Pearland ISD high school and may have been beaten, according to Lt. Onesimo Lopez, a Pearland Police Department spokesman.

Searchers were being directed based on information from a "person of interest" — an 18- or 19-year-old acquaintance of Wilkerson’s from the Pearland area who is still being interviewed by police, Lopez said.

That young man told about an assault and "Josh being left in a field somewhere," Lopez said. "I don’t know how credible he is because he’s given us several locations to focus our search on, but each time we search we’re coming up empty.":furious:

On KTRC.com I did get the impression LE is being told multiple inconsistent locations & info. I wish the teens would come clean for this young man & his families sake. While the culprits are asleep In there beds tonight he is in some field or god knows where. It's 72 no rain. Definitely praying for him!

I searched with Texas Equisearch for Joshua today......we didn't find anything at all. We will be meeting at 8 tomorrow morning again to search other areas. We only searched the park today. I will update if I find anything out. It was very depressing to not find anything, but I was thrilled to meet Tim Miller. His favorite horse died a couple of days ago, and he was so sad. I think that is the horse he started Equisearch with. Anyway, he was on a 4 wheeler and I wondered why at first. I feel so bad for him. I love my horse, too. They become a family member as much as a dog can.

Thank you PinkZebra...I'm thinking about driving down tomorrow morning. My heart is just weeping for Josh and his family. I don't trust what the 18 or 19 year old is telling LE...Pearland isn't that big, everyone pretty much knows everyone and everything, especially in High School. Someone knows more than they are saying...probably a lot of someone's.
Again, thank you for searching.

Well one of the problems is that there is so much open land in that area. I was told we were searching about 100 acres. I wish we could narrow it down, but until someone talks, the "open field" where he was left could be anywhere. There is a lot of old farmland where there are a lot of out buildings like old barns, storage buildings, etc., plus that is also an industrial type area. Today we searched in a lot scrub brushes where the ground was so soggy and muddy. Our horses were sinking and getting tangled in the undergrowth. So Tim told us to let the 4 wheelers go there and we searched open land. On a good note, there were media trucks all over the place, but they had been banished to across the street from the command center. We were instructed not to speak to the media, even though none tried to talk to me! I plan on being there again at 8 in the morning, and hopefully we'll have a better idea of where to search. While we were searching along the water, there were a group of searchers on foot doing a grid search in the park itself while kids were playing on the playground. It was very emotional for me, even though I don't know Joshua, my kids were raised in Pearland and we played in that park many times, and the Little League fields aren't far from there, either. I am now in Friendswood, which is right beside Pearland, but still have friends there. I just hope that we can find him safe. I attached a picture of the horse searchers, I am on the palomino on the far right.

Hi fhc, I couldn't get your link to open. I can tell you that today the horses and atv's searched the park, down the bayou, across Veterans Drive to the other side and all the way down.....in the water, the wooded areas and the open areas. I don't really think that is the place to look though. From what I understand, he was assaulted and then basically dumped in a "field".....well it was certainly muddy enough that if a vehicle had been driven anywhere near where we were searching, it would have been noticable. Not only that, but it would have been hard to even GET to that area by vehicle due to the walking bridges, curbs, layout of the park, etc. In my opinion, there are other, more accessible areas closer to where his truck was found. Like I said, there are so many open fields in Pearland its amazing. Pearland was mostly just pasture land when I lived there, and even though there's been a boom in growth, the neighborhoods are very spread out. But the area where they are talking about is very close to Friendswood, where I live, and still not heavily populated. Also, there are many, MANY leased oil fields which have gravel roads that would make it VERY easy to get in and out of without leaving much evidence of having been there. A lot of those leased areas don't even have gates, just cattle guards as there are also cattle in the fields. I may ride those areas myself just to satisfy my "gut feeling".....! I just hope LE is able to get more info from the POI, or whatever they're calling him. I'm sorry I don't have more information, but as soon as I know anything at all, I will post.

Ok, fhc, I finally saw the video and yes, we searched that entire area today. I'm not sure where, but we were told the search area is going to be moved. The strange thing is that directly across the street from the strip mall where his truck was found is a huge cow pasture. It has been there forever and there are a few buildings on it, too. but that is certainly an open field. I would imagine that area was the first one searched but I'm not sure. When I find out where the search is moving to, I will post.

Thanks Momtective! I have a lot of respect for Tim, too, and feel honored that I got to actually talk to him. He is a very caring man, and you have to believe that at every search he knows EXACTLY what the parents are feeling, and searching also may bring back personal memories for him. He is truly a Godsend. I was very proud of my horse Trick! This is the first search he has been on (but not the last!), and he was a trooper! He went through thick scrub brush, deep mud, briars, down a busy road, through strange terrain.....all of that and he only spooked at a couple of things. Search horses are really amazing animals. There are 4 wheelers running everywhere, zipping right by you, in front of you, and they are loud! But most of the horses were very well mannered and quiet. We covered a lot of ground today, and hopefully will be able to cover more tomorrow. Thank you for your complement on my horse! I think he's beautiful, too!

Thank you, pinkzebra, Trick, all the other riders and horses, and Tim Miller and his RIP horse (so sad!). Being a horse lover, myself, it goes without saying that he would have much rather been on his horse, but he was still out there searching. What was his horse's name?

Prayers for Josh, family, friends, momtective and the searchers and horses that Josh is found very soon, alive.
