Duncanville police searching for missing 84-year-old man

Duncanville police are looking for a missing 84-year-old man.

Juan Perez was last seen about 11 a.m. Monday in the 1200 block of Greenway Drive, near Springwood Lane in Duncanville. Police described him as a Hispanic man who is about 6 feet tall, with a slim build, gray hair and a gray mustache. He may have been wearing a white shirt when he disappeared.

Perez has lived in Duncanville for about eight months, police said. He previously lived in Carrollton.

Duncanville police are investigating whether a body found Thursday in a creek is an 84-year-old man who went missing on Labor Day.

Frantic search for missing Duncanville man ends in creek near family's home

Duncanville Police confirmed the discovery of a body at the location and said that the family had been notified, but neither the department nor the Dallas County Medical Examiner have confirmed the identity of the person.

The Perez family said they know it is their loved one, a father of seven children.

That's just so sad. Poor man. Dementia is a cruel beast for the sufferer and the family. Prayers for the family.
