Austin PD are so F****** STUPID!!!!

hmm............ Julie's car has been found, George had scratch marks on him, her 1 year old daughter is left without her, Julie's been missing for WELL over a month and Julie was in the process of getting a Divorce from George and Austin PD DOES NOT suspect foul play??????

I looked at this video published on Mar 29, which was 3 days after Julie went missing. Can't really see much - at ~1:20 there is a closeup of George where you can see two red spots on his nose. Just wanted to check it out.

The description of what the scratches looked like as described by Julie's family (I'll have to try and find an uploaded video for that interview on Dr. P because I'd like to listen again) was this: He had what look like small scratches that you get when you dig your fingernail into someone's skin but I took it to mean that there weren't long deep scratches. Kind of like short deep one you get when someone grabs and digs in a bit because Mom said that and then took her hand made it look like a claw and put it over her nose area.

So those scratches could have come from Julie, or they may have very well come from a small child that reaches over and grabs your nose and digs a bit too deep. Either playing or while a little tantrum KWIM?

I don't know what to think because on a personal note having raised 5 kids of my own I can see how a small child can dig in when they grab.

I want to see if someone finds the archival tape of his face. That will help me decide.

The child may very well have chewed her fingernails but maybe not all the time? I can't see I've seen a child that young that chews their fingernails down to nubs. But then again, it can happen. I don't doubt it.

Bottom line is I agree with Mom, G. needs to clear his name so they can move forward and try to locate Julie. If he can't be cleared he needs to come clean.

I do wonder though, if he did fail the LDT will we see LE give him one now?

Prayers for Julie and her family and especially her daughter.

Although I used the Paint program to clip his face out of the saved webpage, I did not alter the picture in any way (was on a thread where someone accused others of doing so---just CYA'ing :))

If he failed the LD, I doubt he will take another one given by LE...

The tone of the comments surprised me. Very civil and many of the posts were well thought out. Thanks!

I did want to address one comment, IMHO Julia's ethnicity has absolutely no bearing on how APD is handling this case. Not directed at anyone here just something I saw over there and the question had been raised on either JVM or NG.

I do hope that she is found safe. APD's hands are tied in a lot of ways on how they can conduct an investigation. To solve that would take state legislation. Given her family is very vocal, if she isn't returned home safe--I hope they take up that torch and get the laws changed.

JMHO.

If the results of the polygraph taken on May 2 showed deception, I'm sure the information was passed on immediately to the APD. Even though the APD didn't administer themselves, I would think they would be interested in the outcome. It's just one of many investigative tools. Note that the polygraph was administered by Jack Trimarco - board member of the California Association of Polygraph Examiners and a former polygraph unit chief of the F.B.I. in the Los Angeles field office.

I don’t understand something. As of May 3, the APD was maintaining that at this time, there is no evidence of a criminal act to justify subpoenas for bank records, phone records, etc. They also said that they could not fingerprint Julie’s abandoned car because there was no evidence of foul play. They have also not released the video to the public of the person using Julie’s credit card at the Best Buy on Apr 7.

Why is this different than the Tiffany Tehan case, where LE processed her vehicle, monitored her ATM, credit cards, cell phone records, and released a video of her to the public? She was supposed to go shopping, went missing, her vehicle was found abandoned, had 1 year old daughter, family said it would be out of character for her to leave, husband said no marital problems.

Is the difference just the text messages and posts to myspace from Julie’s phone, and George’s account of what Julie supposedly said to him?

In addition to being concerned about Julie, I worry because that little girl (their daughter) could be at risk, especially if there is history of instability (e.g. suicide attempt). The story of Andrew Bagby comes to mind. APD needs to find out one way or another what happened and as soon as possible, IMO. And I hope the necessary measures are being taken to ensure the daughter’s safety.

I agree. In the Dr. Phil show, Julies family expressed concern about George having a history of physical abuse and their granddaughter (Julies daughter) having bruises on her..insinuating that he could have left marks on her as well. That's pretty concerning to me.

I almost forgot to post this. On Friday my Husband drove up from far west Texas to Dallas for business.

He said that when he was in Denton (north dallas area) that the electonic billboards we have here had Julie's stats and her picture on them.

There is the great chance that I will not be able to watch given the time frame and our current Army move overseas.

Could someone be so kind as to relay what is said for me? I will try to watch if I can get to a TV that date and time.

Hope to be able to see show at 4 p.m. p.t., but am still very upset of last weeks show and really don't have much hope for learning anything new. One thought that I haven't seen covered is that perhaps police and relatives are asked to not disclose certain facts due to on going investigation. I suppose as much as I love playing detective and wish I could just sit back at my computer and sort thru all the facts sent in and solve the mystery for all; the truth is I am probably of no use and am just considered nosy. But if it was my child, and the chances were only one in one-hundred million that disclosing all facts would help towards finding her, I'd yell every bit I knew. I can't help but feel either too much bad blood is in the way, or somebody is hiding something out of shame.
But I will try to post any thing learned out of the show, you may also consider the Dr. Phil page spoken about earlier on this page to see if you find out any more. Thanx to Kat ( I haven't figured out how everyone says thanx yet) and all for feeding this search. I am fixated on finding Julie, and being the first topic at websleuths for me, it has me astonished on how many other beautiful and deeply loved people go missing, constantly.

The video was published on Monday, March 29 at 5:47 PM CDT, 3 days after Julie went missing. I would guess it was taken that day.
