I read through as much of the prior threads as I could yesterday. I don’t know what to think.
With the verified family member telling us about the abuse in the Arnold family it’s hard not to speculate about some possible scenarios, especially taking the letter into consideration. The local serial killer angle is interesting and I would probably think that is more likely....except for the letter. If this was a crime of opportunity I can’t see a perp bothering with a letter, mailing it, dropping it off etc.
Debra said in an interview that she had to go through a lot of counseling due to her childhood.
It’s just awful, all of it.
Is there a chance someone close to the girls is responsible? What do you all think?

I personally think it’s someone or maybe more than one person that is close to Rachel. All the things I hear about that family and that strange letter make me believe it’s someone Rachel knows or is related to.

Yes I agree, but it seems like there are holes in every theory I come up with. So frustrating. How can 3 girls just disappear and no trace of them ever turns up. Just like Springfield 3.

That's why this case is 45 years old. The more you know about this case is the more you don't know. There are about 50 rabbit holes you can go down that are never ending. I agree with most who think someone close to Rachael holds the answers.

I remember this and admire you for it somebody needs to speak up for the girls that know about the abuse.
What abuse are you referring to? The three girls? This is the first I’m hearing about this so can you explain this please?

I think it was in thread 3.
A verified family insider said there was a reason Rachel and Debra wanted to be married young and get out of the house. She or he said there was abuse in the home. I will see if I can find it and bring it over.

Family secrets = sexual abuse, abortions to minor children hideing the home life that family members on this site knows about but still keep hideing it all while saying they want truth.
I do have to say that not all family on here know but I think most do
Sorry guys just can’t keep this up.
It’s in this thread page 10.

I was listening to one of those internet stations that play Christmas music all year round and i felt upset about Julie Moseley all over again. She deserved to be there on that special night when Santa Claus came to town, but some heartless 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 took that away and probably sexually molested her as well.

Just because someone is verified does not mean that they are telling the truth. JS
I don't think many family members have ever told the TRUTH to this day. They lead you to the rabbit hole they want you to go down. All trickery and smoke screens using each other for alibis and to point fingers at each other. JMO

Sorry, but I don’t quite understand the connection between family abuse and their disappearance. Did I completely miss it?

EDIT: never mind, I understand now

I agree, you have to consider the source on EVERYTHING connected to this case! So many lies!

While I don't see this as proof of abuse, many times when kids (especially more than one) are in such a hurry to get out of their parents' house, you suspect something must be going on be it abuse or just a bad environment. Especially when one wants to be out so bad she stays with her sister and new husband, and that married sister is Ok with it (especially given heir past with the same man).

Debra alluded to childhood abuse in an interview.
The Moseley and Wilson families have accused the Arnold family of being untruthful about the events of the day the girls went missing. Have the Moseley and Wilson families been accused of lying? If so about what? There is a lot of conflicting information out there and I am not up on all of it even after reading all of the threads.
It would seem more likely that the girls were tricked into getting into a stranger’s car or that someone posed as security or police to abduct them. I can’t see a family member being involved unless that person was going to be exposed for some type of crime and even then how would they pull off something like that in the timeframe. But I wouldn’t necessarily rule it out. Also if verified family insiders can come on here and make stuff up what is the point of having verified insiders. Why wasn’t that post deleted since families of victims are also considered victims on here.

Another dive at the area lake of interest the past few years.

In case you can't get past firewall,

..
On the morning of July 17, Arnold and two divers got on a boat and set out to find the car. It took them two hours to locate it with sonar, and then they marked the spot with a buoy.

Wayne Spears dove through the black water and groped inside the car. Arnold said the metal was so fragile, Spears was able to rip the door off its hinges. They searched the car thoroughly, but found nothing. By 3 p.m., they were off the lake.

Says he will focus on other lakes in the area.

Thanks for posting the current article. There were 3 cars at Benbrook Lake. They brought up the first two and had them cleared for the girls disappearance. The third car still sits at the bottom of the lake in the "black water" " like yourself inside a closed casket" "can't see your hand in front of your face" But now this third car is miraculously cleared with it's metal falling apart in your hands resting in the black water. Seems weird to me But then again this whole case is weird to me.

I would think that they could take some kind of filtration device down there that would expel a stream of clean water—maybe enough to allow them to read the VIN. I'd like to know what car that is down there. It could be tied to some kind of crime—if not murder then maybe insurance fraud.

i remember that Christmas is different for teenagers then it is for a nine-year-old like Julie. Never getting to see Santa Claus's visit because a monster or monsters feels more devastating if the victim of a Christmastime crime is under ten.

Wow that what I’m talking about family not saying what they know.
What if I ask some family question would they answer ?
They might answer but I doubt the answers would lead anywhere.
