"A gas station clerk is missing after family members say she met a man on an online dating site.

The mystery man sent a Lyft to take 25-year-old Kamari Long-Garcia into Houston for a date the two had planned.

Family members said she's now been missing for 13 days. She got in the Lyft on Oct. 12 at an apartment complex near Huffmeister Road. No one has seen or heard from her since."

I wonder what the status is of the warrant processing/info from Lyft? I’m hoping Lyft cooperated immediately and gave LE the necessary information to follow up on ASAP. “Paperwork”/warrants might take some time though. What date was the MP Report filed?

If it was really Lyft everything is logged.

Maybe this was a legitimate driver who dropped her off and the trail goes cold from there? I wonder about the Lyft account registration...did she use her own regular account, etc. All this is in progress obviously (LE tracking Lyft driver, account info, drop off time and location, etc).

There’s not much msm out there yet/so far.

“Constable Mark Herman said his deputies did file a missing person's report regarding Long-Garcia's disappearance. Detectives with the Harris County Sheriff's Office are now investigating the case.

Creepy. I am not a fan of online dating, I tried it a few times, most of the guys were obviously married. But really, imagine if when Ted Bundy had been active, online dating and Lyft was available, it would have been a smorgasbord for him.

What draws me back is that this happened on Oct. 12th, I would think if this was legit, they would have updated her "last seen" since they would have interviewed the person that hired the Lyft for her. My comments aside on being picked up by a complementary lyft or uber on the first date, I really hoped someone didn't lure her, was the actual "driver" and abducted her. There is very little media on this and here family only posted yesterday it seems. Not showing up for a job after being reliable is a major concern.

Last post was July 30th. It is a pic with her and says "I am homesick for a..." Only one comment from 12 weeks ago... appears to be gf or sister telling her she is pretty. That is it.
Looking at her favs/places visited...she may be into gaming and sports. Her pics are mostly of her. She doesn't smile very much.
After that one post in July 2018 the next post is way back in 2016.
