6:40 p.m. — Strother says this is the third note that the jury has sent to the court. He says he did not send a response to jurors about the request of the headphones. Instead, Strother says, they sent speakers into the jury room. The note asks whether they can exclude “suffocating her with a pillow” or if they have to find that Baker drugged her and suffocated her with a pillow.” The judge says he can not answer the question, and will send a note telling the jury that they have received the charge and that they should follow the instructions on that charge, and to continue their deliberations.

7:27 p.m. — In response to a question from “news,” I also saw Matt Baker standing near the open door to the judge’s office. I’m thinking one of his attorneys were in there, and he needed to ask them something. Good observation, and thank you, again, for reading the blog.

7:23 p.m. — Just a reminder, the seven-woman, five-man jury has been deliberating for the past five hours.

7:20 p.m. — Strother reads the jury’s fourth note: “Can we have a transcript of Vanessa Bulls’ testimony please, and supper?” Strother says that the only way a transcript can be provided to the jury is if there is a specific portion of her testimony that is being debated amongst jurors. Regarding dinner, Strother says he wants to see what the jurors’ response is to this note and then he’ll “consider feeding the jury dinner at the taxpayers’ expense later.”

7:14 p.m. — I’m still waiting to figure out what’s going on. But, looking over the indictment, Baker is charged with drugging his wife and smothering her face with a pillow. The jury asked whether they had to find that he both drugged her AND smothered her face, or whether it could be one or the other. Obviously, the language of the indictment is clear in that they have to find that he did both in order to find him guilty.

~~~~~~~~~~~~ Me - murder is murder. We didn't get the jury instructions on the live feed, but if they are hung on the pillow I will go ballistic.
Also, Erin answered me on the blog! LOL I am news and she also talked and blogged about our own Justice in Waco!!!!!!
BTW - I am in KY so locals tell us if they break in, we still have a still shot.
Watching my local programming here, no news updates :( I'm sure they would break in if there were a verdict.
We don't have Uncle Dan's here, unless you have an uncle who is named Dan.
Did you guys see the comment on the trib blog that a Sunday school class was required to be there for Matt? Something to that effect -- is that not just wrong???
Jury's dinner is delivered - WHAT ABOUT MINE! LOL:banghead::banghead:
Well next time you're in the area...Uncle Dan's on Lake Air Drive in Waco, or he's got one on Hewitt Drive now. Excellent sausage, brisket and I like his BBQ sauce. I digress...must be hungry!
Nervous? Yes, and I don't even know any of the involved. Just hoping for justice for Kari and her family and loved ones and friends.
What's up with the woman from Kerrville wh said she is there as a prayer warrior for Matt? She was quoted as saying that she believes Matt is innocent, but she also said that she has purposely stayed away from hearing about any evidence...huh? Does that make sense to anyone except for her??? Surely a prayer warrior wuld be praying for the truth to prevail, and if she believes the truth to be that he is innocent, she would have nothing to fear in taking a look at the evidence, IMO!
