Found Deceased TX - Katherina Gonzalez, 5, Dallas, 31 August 2014 *Arrest*

So far he has only been charged with murder. We'll have to wait & see what the M.E. says when he does a physical examination and then does a rape kit. And then the DNA folks will have to test the rape kit and see if there is a match. He could certainly be ruled out of that part. Or ruled in...

Wait & see, wait & see. We do a fairly good job of that... And IMO the autopsy will be a priority on the M.E.'s list.

Oh, my, that poor innocent little girl. The world will never know what she might have accomplished in her lifetime.

that's what I'm saying......

BBM:

The perps comment "I didn't rape her" tells me one of two things: either he raped her or thought about raping her. That doesn't come out of someone's mouth for no reason. This 🤬🤬🤬 is going down- I don't care how old he is.

They often say this, even when its BS (example ARS, and TF, who had an obvious fear of being labeled a rapist in prison).

What a confusing story from the perp. No explanation of where "Carlos" came from or how Katherine came to be separated from her little friends. And yes, his "I didn't rape her" is such an odd statement for him to volunteer.

An arrest warrant for Angel Lisandro Sanches-Zenteno says Katherine Alejandra Gonzalez was playing with two 3-year-old girls outside of the Sontera Palms Apartments, located along Royal Lane Near Abrams Road when Sanches took her away. Both little girls identified Sanchez-Zenteno as the person last seen with Gonzalez.

LOL. Of course they do. Women drive all over the place. And not just here, but IN Mexico. I've done mission trips in Mexico since I was 15, so that's just...not true.

I mean, lord.

Thanks for correcting me-that was a stupid thing for me to say........sorry. I wish I could erase the post.

A little angel was taken and this is a horrible, horrible case. So, excuse my brevity...

What a freaking dumb, bat crap crazy story he came up with. So "Carlos" kills the girl and leaves him alive to just walk away as a witness. Right. Wonder when his DNA will come back positive and if "Carlos" made him do it.

Per the arrest warrant, he made the excited utterance '' i did not r *** her ".

I wonder if he was replying to something somebody said, or it came out of the blue. If I was told about a body being found on my property, I doubt I would blurt out "I didn't stab him". I would be shocked and wonder how he got in my yard. I don't believe a word he says.

IMO excited utterance implies that it was not something asked, but that he volunteered the info with no prompting.

And you're so right, I don't think an innocent person would say that. I don't believe a word, either!

He has a 2 month old daughter?? Wow. Where is this baby, I wonder? In the country, or back home?

My guess is that his daughter and some other family members are not in the US -- they are in his native country. That may be why he is up here allegedly illegally (I'm being over-careful here, I know) with perhaps other family members and trying to make money to send home. Or, could it be that he is hiding from something in his native country? Maybe we will learn more soon. We seem to still be in the "murky" area in this one. JMHO.

Exactly my thoughts when I read it! He's young -- prolly panicked and blurted it out.

I did wonder if LE asked him if he did, but I then thought that they prolly didn't have any reason at the time to ask.

Yes, there are too darn many of these little ones that the world will be denied knowing and possibly being helped or raised-up. Who knows? Great healers, teachers, honest citizens, senators, athletes, dancers, writers, scientists, and just good honest folks. Those who never had the chance to show us what they could be. Makes me want to go out in the street and just scream.

Ooh, MsMarple -- Thanks for the arrest warrant! Some of my favorite reading. That's where we get some of what we will hear in court (if there is a trial) ... as told by usually several people who were interviewed or observed by LE. Our first version of "just the facts, ma'am."

I think the kid is in a jam, ma'am.

I found an article about "excited utterance" written by a Texas judge, Bonnie Sudderth. It has to do, of course, with an exception to the "hearsay rule" in court and rules of evidence, but it's interesting to read. I've heard it used in court many times, and this Texas judge explains it well. I love this stuff!

I remember it from legal classes like about 1000 years ago . So I needed a refresher !

They don't let their women drive, Number 1

someone needs to post number 2. Fact is that many men from Mexico have women as their slaves

Let's just put it all out there-better yet- let's have someone on here to translate
It is time for Websleuths to go bilingual

i am latina and finding your comments quite offensive.
stating that men in mexico have women as their slaves is insulting. domestic violence, exploitation of women happen in many cultures and ethnicities

lupus est homini 🤬🤬🤬🤬, non 🤬🤬🤬🤬, non quom qualis sit novit

http://crimeblog.dallasnews.com/201...an-accused-of-killing-5-year-old-cousin.html/

Dallas police say the teen who is accused of killing his 5-year-old cousin admitted to raping her.

Angel Sanches-Zenteno, 17, has now been charged with aggravated sexual assault in addition to capital murder of Katherina Gonzalez...

He had initially told police that he “did not rape” Katherina, according to police documents. He told another investigator that he did sexually assault the girl for “less than a minute,” but did so because the other man was holding him at gunpoint and told him to... The lab matched his DNA to some found in the girl’s underwear.

from the article above: http://crimeblog.dallasnews.com/2014/09/police-add-aggravated-sexual-assault-charge-to-man-accused
-of-killing-5-year-old-cousin.html/

Police took DNA samples from Sanches-Zenteno and sent them away to a lab for analysis. The lab matched his DNA to some found in the girl’s underwear.

Rut-Rho, the young man is now in a heap more trouble. Although he is too young for LWOP, aggravation can be argued and the judge could decide that LWOP is appropriate. I don't think it will happen.

And just as we all thought, when he blurted out something like, "I did not rape her," we thought hmmmm, didn't we.

Oh this poor kid is in lots of trouble. What in the world was he thinking?

Bless her little heart.
