On Tuesday, a helicopter conducted an aerial search of the Bonham area in hopes of locating Katie Jo Brewer, 71, a Bonham resident with dementia who walked away from her home on Carpenter Loop early Saturday morning. [/FONT]

[FONT=arial, helvetica, sans-serif]The aerial search yielded no clues.[/FONT]

Shoes the family identified as most probably those worn by Mrs. Brewer were found embedded in mud Sunday and, judging from the direction the shoes were pointed, it would appear the woman was making her way to the southeast part of Bonham where she lives on Carpenter Loop.

Mrs. Brewer is 5' 2", 116 lbs. with short gray hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a navy blue and white horizontally striped shirt and navy blue pants. She is possibly barefoot. Mrs. Brewer has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's.[/FONT]

[FONT=arial, helvetica, sans-serif]Officials believe Mrs. Brewer may still be in the east Bonham area, but after scouring that section of town several times, there is a chance the primary focus of the search may be expanded.

All Fannin County residents are asked to please check garages, vehicles, outbuildings and wooded areas near their property.[/FONT]

Bonham woman still missing after six months
BONHAM, TX-- This weekend marks six months a Bonham family has been searching for a missing loved one.

BONHAM, TX--This weekend marks six months a Bonham family has been searching for a missing loved one.

71-year-old, Katie Jo Brewer, was last seen near her home on Carpenter Loop, September 12th, 2009.

Last Fall, police and volunteers conducted a massive search of the area surrounding Brewer's home.

Officers tell us the case is still open and active but to this day they don't have many clues to where Brewer could be.

Brewer suffered from Alziemer's.

She's said to be 5-foot-2 inches tall, weighing approximately 115 pounds.

BONHAM -- The heartbreak of a loved one lost continues for Bonham resident Tom Brewer, whose wife, Katie Jo Brewer, disappeared Sept. 12, 2009. The tips to Bonham police on Mrs. Brewer's whereabouts dried up within a few weeks, said Bonham Police detective Terry Bee. Neither the family nor the police has given up, and Bee said they will follow up on every lead that comes their way.

Details of Disappearance​

Brewer was last seen at her home on Carpenter Loop in Bonham, Texas between 1:00 and 2:30 a.m. on September 12, 2009. When her husband woke up at 7:30 a.m., she was gone. She has never been heard from again.

An extensive search of the area turned up no indication of Brewer's whereabouts, but her shoes were found in the mud within half a mile of her home. Few details are available in her case.
