I sure hope they have searched that church thoroughly. Also, I wonder if there were cleaners/others that should be there but were not part of the prayer group. It appears to be a crime of opportunity. Meaning it could be anyone that was there. Maybe someone saw something or heard something but they haven't connected the dots.
I hope she is found.

I remember watching the video of Carla Bruni when she was abducted. She was startled when the guy stepped out at her and then the guy grabbed her arm and took her away and she went. Not all kids scream. Sometimes they're frozen. Others scream like crazy and fight and bite. My guess is that more don't know what to do and they freeze and do what they're told. I agree that it appears to be a crime of opportunity. A young girl, briefly on her own and then it happens. One would think that in a church our children would be safe but I guess the reality is that it's a constant struggle to keep our children safe even in our own homes sometimes. Gotta find Kayla quick.

I can't imagine what the family is feeling. I have anxiety just sitting here reading. Please bring this sweet girl home. Xo

What if she saw a mouse, or remembered a toy she left behind, and got stuck somewhere? Simultaneously, they need to deep dive into every nook and cranny of that building. Did they already search outside?

Can someone check Instagram and see if Kayla has an account?

Sandra Cantu flashed through my thoughts.

It seems like Kayla disappeared so quickly. The FBI spokesman at the pressor today didn't seem to want to give any details. I hope more are forthcoming. If the Uncle is a suspect, I'm sure someone will say something in the comments soon.

I thought about Sandra Cantu immediately as well it's a case I don't think I will forget. I hope and pray there isn't the same outcome for Kayla.

If the cause of Kayla's disappearance turns out NOT to be the husband of her cousin, I will fall out of my chair.

Such a small window of opportunity has to he someone at the church.

I forget her name and feel horrible that I don't remember. I think it was Gabriel? ( I could be wrong) she was at her brothers football game and was murdered within minutes. I really hope the fbi have some leads and Kayla is brought home safe.

Gabbie Doolin (sp?) is I think who you're thinking of? Such a heartbreaking outcome for her & her family.

[h=3]Family of missing East Texas girl: 'She's everything we have'[/h]
TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Kayla Gomez-Orozco’s family members are speaking out about her disappearance, desperate to figure out what could have happened.

They tell us that they want their little girl home safe, whatever it takes.
Gomez-Orozco’s brother, Kenneth Gomez, is searching for answers.
"She's everything we have and this is devastating for us. It's horrible; we don't have a clue what happened with her," says Gomez.
Gomez wants to know anything that will help lead him to his little sister.
"We're even more frustrated because we can't explain it, it was just out of the blue," says Gomez.

I've followed cases with you before. You've got great instincts.

Not feeling it on this one. Really nothing but a poorly worded news story, unless you have found something other than the one thing Google provided. But your track record is too good to ignore completely :)

Family members say Gomez-Orozco went to the Bullard First Assembly church with her mother. Prayer service had just ended and Gomez-Orozco was sitting in the lobby for a few minutes. First with a girl, but after she left, Gomez-Orozco was alone.

The above is from the link. Where does the Uncle and his child fit into this timeline?

Wow, that's a quick exit route from the Church. A lot of rural roads and area to search :(

There has been an outpouring of love for Kayla on the church's FB page. They've also posted a few new pics (to me). What a precious, adorable girl. I wonder if any recent events there might be a link to finding Kayla.

Gomez-Orozco’s uncle, Isaias Garcia, told us what happened next,

"It was five to ten minutes that the mom and the church members were talking and when they turned around to check, she wasn't sitting there anymore," says Garcia.

Garcia says those there searched everywhere they could before calling police.

"We can't believe that they could take a girl from a church.

Garcia says they are now hoping for the best.
