Ohhhh this makes my heart sink. How close is it to the church, exactly? In the twitter pic of the church, it didn't look like it had much in the way of neighbors?

It's right next door to the church on the right hand side just a really short walk from the church carpark. Kayla could easily have been taken from the church to a car waiting there. I hope they check the security cameras intensively to see if they show anything.

i believe the cousin went home with her uncle, the baby's father. personally, i don't have the feeling the family is involved. the whole restaurant robbery and proximity sounds very suspicious to me though. i hope that sweet girl is found and her family has her in their arms quickly. the longer this goes on, the worse it could be

I believe Knox posted the RSO link above (eta: see below). Of course LE would be there first thing, at their doors, maybe even taking DNA samples from them, and returning to their locations multiple times, as I've seen in other cases (Jessica Ridgeway). Unfortunately, there are so many unregistered SOs/pedophiles breathing the same air that we don't even know about.

Read they Bullard has a fair starting this week. Is it a large thing that brings people into the area early? Long shot perhaps.
Being dark outside, someone would have to be awful bold to walk into a church they were unfamiliar with that had cars in the parking lot, if it were a stranger. How would they know a young girl would be alone in the lobby? If it turns out not to be someone who knew Kayla or her family from the church, I'll be shocked.
more questions, what time does the prayer group usually finish? Could someone have been there to pick up another parishioner to take them home?
ETA, I didn't realize how close the restaurant was to the church.,,thanks Skib. Now I think it could be anyone.

The robbery has me thinking in a few different directions now. When was this robbery? What sort of robbery was it? One thought is an inside job like a manager not making a deposit an taking off with it because they needed money to get out of the area fast because they did something to Kayla? Or if it was a break in perhaps the perps thought Kayla saw something like them setting up or casing the place so they grabbed her. Then again it may be unrelated but I am skeptical that someone would choose to rob the place knowing that LEO is in the area because of Kayla. From what I can see on google maps these buildings are not one on top of each other so a vehicle would be most likely needed to get away and if you have access to a vehicle why would you rob a restaurant early in the day before the daily receipts unless it was for the deposits for the previous day. IMO that would indicate someone who was familiar with the routine of that restaurant. IME from working as a manager in a few restaurants and retail some do the deposits in the morning and some do them at night in the drop box at the bank.
