Any news on this? I haven't had a chance lately to follow up on the topix board, or someoneknowsme.com (how bad is that LOL). Just wondering if LE has proven or disproved the ID of this UID.

Here's my suggestion on Princess L.

Brandi Wells went missing in August of 06. The stats are quite similar...she might be a little shorter than Princess L. Someone could have kept her and then dumped her two months later.

Longview to Kilgore is only 11 miles. Surely, LE would've checked this connection. I don't have daylight hours to contact Longview LE to make sure. If anyone else wants to make this suggestion feel free.

If you saw her car that morning and remember seeing anyone near the car please call the Longview Police Department or the Laura Recovery Center. Brandi's family is desperately searching for her.

I checked Brandi against a transparency of the Kilgore UID and it is NOT a match. Brandi's mouth is much closer to her nose. Sorry, good to check though....

Wow RKnowley! Jessica looks like and fits the description of Princess Lavender! The only thing is the timeline. She would have have to have been somewhere for ten months before being killed. But, that is possible, for example if she decided to run away and found a place to stay instead of going back to Houston. Or she may have been abducted and kept alive for ten months, which is less likely but possible.

Lion, Hmmmph! I thought I would just throw her out there because she does fit the description of Princess Lavender. She could have ran away and found "so called friends" while hitching a ride to Houston, TX and stayed with them for awhile and something happened then or maybe she decided to start hitching again (to Houston) and something happened to her then. It most likely isn't her but it could be one of those "zebras" we all know about

ETA: If she was hitching a ride she was probably carrying other articles of clothing with her.

Happy Mother's Day to all (moms, stepmoms, grandmoms, aunts, fostermoms, dog moms, cat moms, horse moms, all of you!):angel:

Yes, LE has been working on the Princess Lavender / Vanessa Schultz connection since the day they received it as a tip. (NICE JOB, you guys!)Yes, they have tests underway. Yes, they have been in touch with people involved in the investigation (esp. Erie PD). I haven't posted about it bec. it is not a final forensic result they are ready to make public, but I can tell you that it is almost certainly NOT VANESSA. The breifest of looks through comparing the dentals tells that to be the case, BUT they have sent both ladies' dentals for official forensic analysis, to be absolutely sure.

Sooo...if you would like to keep searching for Vanessa, maybe we should put her in a separate thread. And Please, please, please keep searching for P. Lav's match! I'm glad she is not Vanessa, but she is SOMEONE, and she needs to be identified!

I have to go on record here and say that if LE is saying that, I say, BS.
The recon and Vanessa's photo is a match as far as I'm concerned until I have proof that it is not. I have no idea why LE is taking this stance but I suppose someday we will know.

Anyway..i was looking up the Brandi Wells case and she was ruled out as being our unidentified, so we know for sure it's not her.

If it's not vanessa, it still is someone, so i'll keep looking!
