SAN ANTONIO - Police are searching for a 21-year-old woman and a small child who were reported missing by family members early Friday morning.

According to information released by police, officers are searching for Kimberly Mata, 21, and a young child appearing to be about 1-year-old. They were last seen along West Commerce Street near Zarzamora Street, on the city's West Side.

Police did not provide a name for the child, only that she has straight, shoulder-length hair, and a birthmark on her back about one inch long. She was last seen wearing a multi-colored shirt and shorts with hearts on it.

Family members reported the child and Kimberly Mata missing early Friday morning. Both were last seen in the 2900 block of West Commerce Street.

The missing child is described as having straight, shoulder-length hair, and she was last seen wearing a white, multi-colored shirt and shorts with hearts, according to police.

Authorities said the child also has a birthmark on her back that is one inch long. She’s also in the company of Mata.

Seems like they only report minimal details, unless they strongly suspect foul play off the bat.

Interesting comment after that article. Also, looking at google maps, there is a bus stop near that block, and a pawn shop on that block. I’m guessing they’ve got them on camera there. I hope they are found soon!
