IF the great-grandparents truly don't know anything about what happened, then CD must have had something planned in advance, such as selling Baby King.

The only other thing I can think of is far-fetched. Maybe CD went to pick up the baby, g-grandmother was asleep, and something happened that made CD lose his temper and disappear Baby King before she awoke. Far-fetched, I know.

Popping in to check for updates but I only got more confused with the family dynamics LOL.. I can't keep up. Plus reading that CPS removed kids from the home where a cancer patient is mostly in bed and is supposed to be a caregiver to these little ones..YIKES... I'm sure they know exactly WHY CPS removed the kiddos.
Prayers this little angel is found soon..he is so adorable, it just breaks my heart.

Has it been independently confirmed that King Jay and his parents lived in that house or was it an address they used for benefits and tax purposes?

I keep thinking of Lonzie Barton with this case. Stolen car, stolen child did not work for them either.

Beatrice Davila said she and her husband were caring for King Jay on Friday evening. Christopher got off work at a lumber supplier in Schertz and stopped by sometime before 7 p.m. to pick up the baby. He told them he was headed home to his fiance, Jasmine Gonzales, on the Northeast Side.

On the way, Christopher Davila stopped at Friends Food Mart on Enrique M. Barrera Parkway, where he is a regular customer. He told police he went inside to get a bottle of water and left his car running with the doors unlocked and King Jay inside.
Asked where missing San Antonio child is, grandfather says: 'Only God knows.'

If true that baby KJ was alive and well Friday just before 7pm, where did CD and child go before CD stopped at mini mart, initiating the alleged kidnapping hoax. IMO, there's less than an hour window for LE to track. Who has baby KJ and what did they do with him? Has a reward been offered for him and/or information about his whereabouts?

So Schertz is Northeast of SA & the grandparents live on the west side of SA, right? He had to drive from work on the far Northeast side all the way to the west side to pick up baby to drive all the way back to the Northeast side where he & the baby’s mom live. Why??? That’s quite a trip. Why wouldn’t the baby just be home with mom?

Quoting myself: Actually I don’t even know why I’m questioning this b/c we already know the baby wasn’t even in the car at the time of the “carjacking.” So none of this makes sense b/c it isn’t true. It’s baffling to me how this whole incident has been exposed a a huge lie yet the people involved just keep insisting that they don’t know where the baby is. I do think LE will get to the bottom of it, but man when you have ALL these people just playing dumb it’s got to be a tough one! That poor baby!!! It’s maddening.

At the initial presser on Friday, Police Chief indicated that the paternal grandmother was caregiver to baby KJ, and that CD (Dad) reportedly picked up child from grandma before stopping at store to buy a bottle of water. This story is consistent with Jan 9 report where grandparents provided that CD picked up baby KJ from their home prior to 7pm to take him home. The question now is what did CD do with baby before he reached the mini mart parking lot (assuming LE position that there was no child in the car at time CD arrived at the mini mart and alleged abduction from car a hoax). I believe we're talking about less than an hour window that CD needs to account for. MOO

It sounds like atleast the mother lives at a separate address. My guess is CD lives there with her, but uses his parents address so the mother doesn't have to claim his income for any benefits she may receive.

It also sounds less sinister than what is going on. I expected this thread to be about a baby stolen by a woman that for whatever reason wanted to keep the baby as her own.

I feel like many of us here care more about baby KJ than his own family. It is so sad!

Maybe I’ve missed it but I haven’t seen any real grief or concern for him. It seems CYA is a bigger concern than KJ’s wellbeing.

Makes me wonder why they even reported him missing in the first place. If their friends or family asked, they could have said he was with another family member. Maybe they have to account for his whereabouts because of their CPS issues?

Whether it's to keep up the show of people living at the appropriate addresses or thinking they are covering for him for cheating or bringing the baby with him to buy drugs (just examples of things you might want to hide from people). If the dad and mom actually lived together would King's grandparents see him as much? It seems like it should take longer than an hour to have someone ready to fake kidnap your kid and steal your car.

Ummmm, wait, doesn’t everything say King was picked up from great grandmas a little before 7:00? Then the car and baby were stolen within minutes? We know LE is certain that baby was NOT in the car. So, that leaves us to believe he picked up the baby and the baby vanished before he got to the gas station. Either there are so many people and kids in and out that the elders have no idea what’s going on, or they are lying too. I really wanted to believe they had no part in this mess but now I can’t see how that’s possible. Good grief.

Picking up the child from grandma's might be deflection/distraction from the place where King Jay really was last at?

If the baby wasn't in the vehicle at the store, how do we know he was picked up from grandma's and put into the vehicle to drive to the store?

All CD has to do is pop into grandma's house and call out that baby's in the car so he can't stay in the house long but he wants them to know he's taking baby to the store and everything's fine.

From what I've read, the mom was at work when CD went to the store with the car seat. But what else do we know about each person's whereabouts in the previous 24 hours? All we know is that there must have been a last location where the baby was, and then by the time CD gets to the store there's only a car seat. At some point during that day AT was called or someone met up with her and asked her to participate in the abduction hoax, but she wouldn't really be doing anything 'wrong' because the car was being taken with CD's permission and she was only kidnapping a car seat, not an actual baby...it's just a favor to help out a desperate family member.

But how do LE get to the bottom of all of this when relatives are closing ranks and worried about saying too much in case they drop someone in it?
