Well I wanted to try and stop being so hard in my thinking - it’s simply difficult for me to believe that SO MANY women would have NO LOVE for this child... so I’m trying to find other reasons for the Mom’s NO TEARS during interview ... and his cousins involvement. Even though I know that people who do drugs lose their ability to care and to have emotions - surely they aren’t ALL meth addicts?
I do not believe the grandparents are involved at all ... or that this group is covering for them. I’m sure they know this crew is involved in illegal activities and all they can do is offer to keep children (out of it) as much as possible.

They are involved by being enablers, surely they knew the lifestyle going on here!

The father of an 8-month-old boy reported missing last week and the man’s mother have been arrested in connection with the case, according to San Antonio police sources.

Christopher Davila, 34, and his mother, Beatrice Davila, 65, both face a charge of tampering with evidence. More details are expected to be released at a police update of the case at 7:30 tonight.

I think there should be an alert for any missing child under a certain age even if they don’t know what vehicle the child could be in. It would get their face out there. I thought there was something like this already in place but I guess not.

I thought an Amber Alert was supposed to be about the kids. If the parents are a danger or could be they can't be the ones trusted to advocate for a missing kid. I think the police could have made a judgement call. Parents are often suspects and they do kill their kids, but the cops could have taken the dad's initial statement and then questioned it. If your parents have killed you technically you weren't taken out of their custody. I wonder if the police looked at the dad's tattoos, possibly knew him from other crimes and treated the family differently than they would have treated a family that was more upper middle class and more "traditional". Now it's clear the kidnapping was staged the dad had his own cousin help. SMH! When it was first reported no one knew anything for sure.

I guess now we know why Grandma was using distancing language when talking about what might have happened and what her son might have done to her grandson. Good heavens.

Picking up the child from grandma's might be deflection/distraction from the place where King Jay really was last at?

If the baby wasn't in the vehicle at the store, how do we know he was picked up from grandma's and put into the vehicle to drive to the store?

All CD has to do is pop into grandma's house and call out that baby's in the car so he can't stay in the house long but he wants them to know he's taking baby to the store and everything's fine.

From what I've read, the mom was at work when CD went to the store with the car seat. But what else do we know about each person's whereabouts in the previous 24 hours? All we know is that there must have been a last location where the baby was, and then by the time CD gets to the store there's only a car seat. At some point during that day AT was called or someone met up with her and asked her to participate in the abduction hoax, but she wouldn't really be doing anything 'wrong' because the car was being taken with CD's permission and she was only kidnapping a car seat, not an actual baby...it's just a favor to help out a desperate family member.

But how do LE get to the bottom of all of this when relatives are closing ranks and worried about saying too much in case they drop someone in it?

I am not completely caught up on the thread so if this has been discussed I apologise!

All of the "players" in the kidnapping and car jacking are CD's family. We have not seen amy "players" from Mom's family. Is it conceivable to think possibly CD is doing this to remove Baby KJ from the Mom and she is the one who is being duped? Maybe this was all planned out ahead of time by all of CD's family to get the baby away from her?

This is just my brain thinking about all of the players and realizing all parties involved are from the Dad's family.

Hell no, we are not going with skin color on this so don't even go there. I'm very familiar with the situation of numerous people living in a house where a crime occurs and all of a sudden no one knows anything, everyone should be "parents of the year" and will not cooperate with law enforcement.
Stop making this a racial issue, it isn't. It's about finding this little boy, nothing else except who is responsible for his disappearance. Period.

Exactly! What I was saying. This is most likely why LE had to search for some of the people possibly involved and not having any people cooperate with them in finding this baby.

At this point it would not surprise me if the adults involved in this crime start to blame the other children living in the household. That is the way it usually goes. JMO
