No. I don't think a MP report has been filed yet, and I don't know what has happened over the last few weeks. The League City PD doesn't seem too interested in initiating a MP report, as they don't think Theresa is their Jane Doe, and she wasn't LKA in their jurisdiction.

We were finally able to get a missing person report filed on Theresa ("Terri") Vernell Jones. The League City PD and the City of Alvin PD both refused to get involved with her case because her Loc LKA was not in their jurisdiction. (Actually, her Loc LKA is now within the city limits of Alvin, but it wasn't in 1980).

So I contacted the Brazoria County Sheriff.

The detectives looked around and found her name on an old list of missing persons, but she wasn't in NCIC, and they have no idea what happened to her casefile. So they created a new one. Incidentally, one of Terri's sisters was a victim of an unsolved homicide in Florida in 1982. So the BCSD will also be looking into that case to see if they are possibly connected.

I've created a NamUs casefile (MP 33654), but it is still not yet published. I expect that it will be soon, and that Terri's four living siblings will be able to submit FRS's to get a DNA profile in the system for her.

Yes, a certain person is suspected of being involved in both her disappearance, and the murder of her sister. But I can't go into details regarding who that person is.

Also, does Theresa have a thread on here? I looked for it and when I searched, it brought me to this thread. TIA!

I wonder...why is Theresa Vernell Jones still not on the rule out list for this Jane Doe.

I find Linda Kay Carroll still plausible, although I don't have a logical explanation for the weight difference. It's hard to beleave she was captured for such a long time and then killed, but not impossible. It could explain the ribs fractured and had time to heal.

The detectives keep saying they will, but the three sisters and the one brother are still waiting for everything to be arranged with their local LE agencies.

They don't need DNA from all four, but it is preferable for a better quality profile.

I could find a lot about this situation but I prefer to think they are just scared for the possible truth....and I don't know anything about this situations in America...but that doesn't matter.. in what place I would be or even on which planet I was...I would never accept the fact of waiting and waiting... This is not oke... (and I don't mean to say anything ugly about the family)

Back in December, a woman posted a message on the Who Was Walker County Jane Doe Facebook page, indicating that her sister, Theresa Vernell Jones had been missing since September of 1980. I could see from the photos that she posted that Theresa probably was not WCJD. But it occurred to me that she very much resembled the 1986 League City "Jane".

I tried a couple of times to contact the woman who made the post, and didn't get a response. Yesterday, I noticed that a second sister had also commented on the thread. So I sent her a message and she replied.

This morning, I sent an email to the League City PD detectives, and the Galveston County ME office to suggest that they send FRS kits to Theresa's three sisters and her brother. So they are now looking into this.

If Theresa is not League City "Jane", perhaps she can be matched to one of the other UID's in the system.

DOB: 9-Feb-1963
Height: 5 feet 6 inches
Date LKA: Approx. September 1980
Location LKA: Alvin, Texas
Tattoos: Small rose on back of right shoulder.
Circumstances: Theresa was supposed to meet her sister in Houston to give her sister a ride home. She never arrived, and has not been seen since then. She drove a green colored Chevy Chevelle. The vehicle has also never been located.

I'm working on a dossier with all Jane Does and missing woman with a gap between the front teeth.. still hoping for a spontanious match. This girl also including.. Some stats do fit (age...in 1986 this girl would be 23, height fits in range, only the weight is puzzeling me...UID is heavier...but she could have gain weight) Still beleave this UID was hold captured for a longer time....but 6 years....please let it not be so.

Also, UID is estimated at 5'7" and 150 lbs, Kimberly Sue was 5'2" and 125. Of course the UID numbers were an estimate, and if she weren't already on the ruleout list I would've still submitted her... but yeah, she's already on that list.

You are not the only one who thought about her as a possible match, but she was officially ruled out and put on the NamUs ruled out list.
