GUILTY TX - Leah Aguirre, 2, Crosbyton, 1 Jan 2013

The little girl is so very cute. I can't imagine anyone selling their baby. Usually Mexicans are very protective of their children (Hispanics in general). Their children usually mean the world to them. I hope this baby is found safe and put in a loving home where it will be properly cared for and loved like it should be.

Anybody able to find more pictures of Leah on facebook? The two official photos are both so low quality.

I'm wondering if Miguel even exists.

ETA: I see upthread that the child was taken from a family friend?

But the family friend would surely recognize mom, right?
I'm thinking mom hired a friend 'miguel' or someone to
pose as CPS. Family friend where baby is knows CPS
may come for baby any time because they've told mom
so. So a 'miguel' shows up , says he's CPS , they hand
over baby no questions asked. But now 'miguel' has
taken the baby and sold her , with mom's help, to
some third party ? OR 'miguel' is stealing her back
to give her back to mom whose had a change of
heart and wants her baby after all? IDK
Be ok baby girl !

I'm wondering if "family friend" didn't just hand the baby over to mom, or if she was in on the sale.

I'm seeing that the man was posing as a CPS worker. Oh Lord, please keep this baby safe!

If he posed as a CPS worker, I am thinking he has to know the family or the family friend. Why else would he know where to go and why to pose as a CPS worker? I am thinking possibly the friend thought the child was in CPS custody and the Amber Alert was posted when CPS and the friend figured out someone posing as CPS tool the child? This is a very strange abduction. I am thinking this child has been sold already and the Mom knows more than she is telling. :cow:

First off she is just darling....Second off I have a horrible pit in my stomach.... I think this person impersonating CPS, did so at the direction of the mother. I sadly think either they are in on the sale of the baby, possibly the middle man transport person to Mexico, or they did it for mom and a sum/payoff, and handed baby over to Mom for her to sell. Has mom disappeared at this point, gone into hiding? I don't think this is going to end happy. I just pray its for an illegal adoption and she will be loved.... Oh I really have such a tightness in my stomach... :( IMHO

I, too, have a feeling that Mum was in on this, especially if she was looking at selling her child prior to the abduction. And who would know to show up at the house posing as a CPS worker? I would assume friends and family would be aware of this, so I believe 'Miguel' must be connected to the family in some way (if he even exists).

How horrible, I can't even imagine a mother wanting to sell her child, and for only $2000? You can't put a price on a child's life, but I'd venture to say that giving up this darling little girl would be worth a he!! of a lot more than that.

Hoping this darling little girl is found soon, so she can be adopted out to a family who will love her and care for her more than her own mother seems to. Such a sad case. :(

MOO

So very scared for this beautiful little girl. What kind of mother even contemplates selling her own child, no matter what situation she may be in? Beyond me...:furious:

I hope she is found safe and adopted into a family who crave a child to love and care for.

I've had that same impression from working and being around hispanics for a number of years, they are very loving and protective of their children, especially the little ones, but they're loving with their older children too.
I agree with you, I hope they can find this sweet baby before she is seriously harmed. Praying for her safe return.

Reports have surfaced that Tina was already under investigation by CPS and that she had possibly tried to sell Leah to a man in Mexico for $2,000. "As far as we know they are just rumors, and we're hoping they stay that way," Leah's godmother Kimberlee Gonzalez said. "We have no idea who this man could be or how big of a danger he is to this baby."

...Leah's father has been out of Leah's life since she was born, but they located him in Oklahoma. FBI agents interviewed him and ruled him out.

When we spoke to Leah's godmother Kimberlee she said Tina was confused about her daughter going missing....

Looks like she lists like four babies in heaven. Her pages are confusing, says she just got married several times, then she is planning a wedding, then wedding pics.

Im confused. Baby Leah's dad is LL?

The FBI is now the lead agency accepting information about the abduction of Leah Marie Aguirre, the subject of an Amber Alert issued Tuesday afternoon, said Katherine Chaumont, spokeswoman for the FBI’s Dallas division.

The federal agency is working with Crosbyton police and the Texas Rangers, Chaumont said.

Anyone with information about the case may call the FBI at (972) 559-5000, their local law enforcement agency or 911.
