DNA on Debra wasn't obtained until a couple of years after FLEKS death. Does that make a difference? And for some reason I thought you had to ask them to make comparisons. Or is that what you mean by "the same system"?
I think there needs to be a direct comparison, it isn't just an automatic screening process each time a sample is entered.
Also- I am almost certain there was no autopsy for LEK. She could have had an injury or scarring that just went unnoted at death. I'm also not ruling out the idea that Blake would have certainly been aware of every mark or scar on LEK. I don't mean to be impolite here, how to put this... It's possible that Blake never took a good, well lit examining look at his wife. Short of a dermatologist doing a skin check, no one really looks that closely at anyone.

I believe that newly entered DNA is automatically compared to all DNA already in the system. Someone correct me if I am wrong. It is NOT 100%. There is the presumption that someone is related to the person submitting for comparison. If there is an adoption or some other event, or a human error, a false exclusion could be made.
I emailed the Perry investigator listed on NAMUS, but haven't heard back.
FLEK really does seem to favor CP.
I wish there were more pictures of CP. From the tiny bit of info I was able to find about her, which isn't much more than is on her WS, it sounds like a situation where the mom chose the stepfather over the child. That is all I can come up with, literally no one looked for her. I can't even find mention of her missing in Raleigh or Wake County papers that I have looked through online. It's frustrating.

Yep, not much on CP. No prints, no dentals IIRC. Why not call her in on FLEK? Then, maybe someone will at least clarify whether the comparison is automatically made. Or if it has not been done they will do it.
They MIGHT even say "We have something pending on FLEK", you never know.....
FWIW, I think CP does somewhat resemble the latter-day FLEK but not the 1988 Idaho FLEK, which is the one she SHOULD resemble. I really don't think it is her.

No to the first question and no to the second.
And I think SS1988 <modsnip> Worked with her but didn't say where. Went to her mother's house but didn't remember the address and it had been torn down or something like that. Said he had pictures but declined to share them. Not one single verifiable thing was offered. He claimed to have been close to her but it would be un-FLEKlike for her to get close to ANYONE, let alone expose them to a piece of her former life (her mother). It just would not fit with everything else we know of her.
There are dentals on CP, but not on FLEK. I emailed the investigator on CP's NAMUS asking about a comparison to FLEK. I also requested more pictures and information if she was not a match. Haven't heard back yet.
<modsnp> The other half thinks it was the one person she attempted to connect with, a naive move to be sure, but human connection is important. I can't imagine running away, crossing the country & changing identities twice while keeping everything in. That's the kind of stuff that leads to drug OD's & lifelong alcoholism.
There is another point that makes SS1988's story problematic: that poster mentions that his wife had also met LEK, or at least knew her well enough to identify her from a picture, yet he does not explain what a married or engaged man was doing with a single woman. He makes it clear that he wasn't just giving her rides home, but spending some serious time together. (Yeah, men & women can have a nonsexual relationship, but unless the wife/fiance knows well that nothing is going on, she's going to be very suspicious of that single woman her man is hanging out with. And why is he "driving around" & just talking with LEK when he has someone he's already close to he could do that with.) Unless the three of them hung out together -- but that detail was omitted.

llrwych, we don't know much about the sequence with ss1988, FLEK, and Wife. IF the establishment was a photographer's studio, maybe all three were making sales calls; or one receptionist, one stylist, one photographer? ss1988 may have started dating Wife later?
If the establishment was a bar, bartender & two waitresses or OK dancers?
ss1988 doesn't tell us when the marriage started, just that Wife recognized the pictures.
Also, FLEK said "Mom" but this could be a mother figure for her.
We've looked at everything, so much mystery remains.
I wish ss1988 would come back & clarify!

Or to what one could call "addiction to religion". What Marx called (in an often misunderstood phrase) "the opiate of the masses". I know I'm going to offend some people with what I'm about to say, but I'm not talking about people who are religious in general, but a specific group of people who clearly have no life beyond an obsession with what they believe & who are unable to talk to anyone except to insist that the other person share that exact belief.
Being so obsessed with a belief will help a person get thru the day, & also allow them to ignore problems in themselves or their life. A person living in crushing poverty, for example, will find religious fervor a useful way to self-medicate. And a person with few -- or no -- friends would do the same. (That person sees the same folks every Sunday, engage in pleasantries with them, they ask her how she is -- wouldn't that person convince herself that she has friends?)
This is one reason that I've been reluctant to contact any of the ministers who have known her. I'm not certain that I'd either offend them, or that they would tell me anything more than the usual rehearsed boilerplate about how she was so devoted to God.

Huge apologies as I'm sure this has been discussed but I've looked at the other threads and can't see anything.... on the Idaho ID card is an address. I know there's a typo but it's easy to find the proper address. Whose is it?
I've never seen this mentioned but I wasn't here at the beginning. In all honesty I never even realised it WAS an address, the 7101 threw me (still astounds me that a road can be soooo long!) as I assumed it was a reference number.

We did do a lot of research on the address and tracked down who owned it at the time. I don't remember the details, but the owners were contacted by either the investigators or the reporter and they claimed to not know anything about the person claiming to be Becky Sue or Lori. It should be in one of these threads.
O/T, just FYI: In the US house numbers do not always start at 1 and go up from there. I live in a rural area and the house numbers go by miles on the street. I live about 7 1/2 miles in on the road so my house number is 7514. My closest neighbor lives about 1/2 mile up the road and his house number is 8032. Our road is just over 10 miles long and the house numbers go from 120 to 10285, but there are only about 100 houses on the road.
