Mario Chacon was sentenced to 35 years after pleading guilty to the 2023 murder of Madeline Pantoja and 20 years for tampering with evidence. The sentences will run concurrently.

MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- On Friday February 20, nearly three years after the disappearance and subsequent murder of 20-year-old Midland woman Madeline Pantoja, her killer, her ex-boyfriend Mario Chacon Jr., has pleaded guilty to murder. Chacon has been sentenced to 35 years for murder, and another 20 years after pleading guilty to tampering with evidence.
