Is it common for a judge to be removed from a case because the defendant has not paid the lawyer?
I've never heard of that.
So much CYA for everyone but Maleah. Grrrrrrrr
MOO

Oh, dropped off at the hospital by an unknown female. Hmmm, could this be the mistress QX mentioned? When he talked to DV in jail, DV was surprised when QX mentioned that he had spoke to his mistress and knew a few things.
maybe the mistress is a friend of BB's. Didn't I read that DV took one of BB friends on his mail route. JG?? Moo

The attorney said "judge can you remove me due to non payment". He asked the judge.

Poorly worded. The lawyer asked the judge to be removed.

Maybe Len Cannon can interview BB again.

It sounds like DV's relationship with his mistress was more serious, rather than casual.

I'm beginning to think that the mistress may have driven him to the hospital. It sort of makes sense.

DV gets rid of the body overnight, comes back to his apartment early evening. Leaves after a few hours. Goes to his mistress who drops him off and abandons the car at a parking lot.

BB's message to him in one of the earlier interview kind of fits the narrative.
“You hid from me and you left me. I have no feelings for that man. I don't have no feelings for him at this point. He was the last person to see my daughter. I seen you when you came home. You didn't say anything to me. I stood up for you. I wanted to believe your story,”

Potential witness claims she saw Derion Vence's car in Arkansas when Maleah Davis went missing Potential witness claims she saw Derion Vence's car in Arkansas when Maleah Davis went missing via @KHOU

FULTON, Ark. — A potential witness claims she saw Derion Vence’s silver sedan back down an interstate ramp late at night May 3.

The woman was part of a group of people who created a small memorial with balloons, teddy bears, and pinwheels where authorities found remains of a child in Fulton, Arkansas Friday.

The potential witness lives in the area and drives by entrance ramps to Interstate 30 at Exit 18 every night. She said the sedan stood out because only truckers stop on the road there. However, the woman did not know the car was potentially connected to the disappearance of Maleah Davis.

For a month, Houston Police detectives wondered about Vence’s whereabouts between Friday, May 3 and late Saturday, May 4.

A photo given to KHOU 11 News by a law enforcement source showed Maleah with Vence outside their apartment that Friday.

According to this MD was alive on Friday... I'm so confused

. Was that ever confirmed by LE? Or just from the neighbor?

I’m surprised they have charged him with murder yet. Could it be because he’s not the one that caused her death?

My guess is LE wants to be certain before anyone is charged. LE may feel DV is the one that caused little Maleah's death, but they need to present their case and eliminate anyone else. (doubt in jury's mind) If there is a chance Maleah was injured prior to a trip to the airport, that may make a huge difference in what type of charges will be brought up and against whom. I can see failure to provide medical treatment to more than one person.

Sweet little angel, you have been brought home. I'm so sorry. You are home and loved by more people than you could ever imagine. In our hearts forever.

I am wondering like most here if her helmet was in that bag. This child has touched so many hearts in the last month. If only she knew how many people cared about her. She was never put first in her entire life. MOO.

Seeing this sad memorial on the side of the highway breaks my heart into a million pieces. That Ty Beanie Boos Peanut elephant nestled in the dried grass where our precious baby girl was found represents more love for Maleah from a total stranger than her egg donor (BB) and her self-proclaimed caregiver (DV) ever provided during her short life IMO.

Although I had no doubt what the eventual outcome of this tragic case would be, when our sweetheart's tiny remains were finally found I felt such a deep sense of sorrow for beautiful Maleah, a deep sense of loss for a future life that she will never experience.

I watched the video of the plane bringing Baby Girl home last night. As the plane approached the runway, I was overcome with grief for little Maleah and at the same I recognized that a beautifully Sacred Act was taking place - the beginning of restoration for Maleah.

Thank You to the Investigators who have tirelessly worked this case. Thank You Tim Miller, Thank You Quanell X. Thank You to all of you who lovingly escorted Baby Girl home where she can now be laid to rest with Dignity and where she can now receive Justice.

I will always remember precious Maleah offering that sweet gift of the red rose we've all seen in the photograph. I will always see her sharing that stick of chewing gum with her Daddy and the happy smile on her darling face.

It must be an error. They are probably confusing the video of her on Tuesday with the one of him carrying the laundry basket on Friday. Imo

I misunderstood the post. It was the lawyer who asked to be excused. (Sorry!)

so it be the mower company seen the media reports about Maleah and that LE were heading in their direction, joined the dots and promptly contacted authorities and sent them to the right specific location.
