Hi All - I joined a few years ago, but I have never posted. I am, however, a long time lurker. I think you all do an amazing job analyzing and researching! I hope I am posting this correctly and do not violate any rules.

I have come out of lurking because this beautiful, innocent, defenseless little girl has just touched my heart. I have four children and three grandchildren. I just cannot fathom this type of evil. I do not believe BB's new story line one bit. I pray they find Maleah and all these selfish, cruel monsters pay for what they have done. It's absolutely heartbreaking.

When this story first broke, up until the reports of blood and tissue being found in the plumbing, and dogs picking up a scent in the trunk, my guess was that this was a fundraising scheme, and MD would be found alive and well on a church step or fire department once their “fundraising goal” was reached. How I wish now that was the case

Search for missing 4-year-old continues near Houston
The search for missing 4-year-old Maleah Davis continues in the small Brazoria County community of Rosharon on Wednesday as a skeleton crew from Texas EquuSearch scours the area where her stepfather once worked a mail route, organizers said.

Tim Miller, founder of the private nonprofit search group, said he and others will be going up in a helicopter around the town to see if anything turns up.

Regretfully, I’ve searched and searched upthread 1-3 and haven’t yet run across it again.
I will repost if/when I do.
FTR, I’m not saying DV is a superstar or that the video is evidence, I just find it interesting and do think it is worth re/viewing. It does ref , scripts, and Percoset in particular.
Presumably DV’s most recent employer is/was PharMedium, located not terribly far (by Houston standards) from Kirkwood Landing Apartmebts according to google maps.
I am assuming the Phar is an abbreviation for Pharmaceutical or Pharmacy. Haven’t dug.

Search area expands and gag order issued in Maleah Davis case
Texas EquuSearch is following up on tips and canvassing new search areas as they continue to look for Maleah Davis.

While the search continues, a legal order is complicating the case in court. A gag order has been issued ordering attorneys and the media to strict confidentiality of the CPS records involving Maleah's family.

The order says that if the release of this information continues, the pre-trial publicity will interfere with rights to a fair trial.

This gag order includes documents involving the family since July of 2016, so we know they had a history with CPS, but now, we’re likely not going to know any more about it.

With the reduction in bail, DV probably thinks he can beat this. And he may be right. And if he has the opportunity, he will be gone. Ankle monitors can be disabled, and ditched.

Pretty sure he's safer behind bars at this point.

Thanks! But I still did not hear him say anything about Meleah being kidnapped and that DV believes they took him to Mexico. That is the part I can't believe.
I know he is saying he is innocent but in that video he says they did not talk about the case and the truth will come out.
I am looking for the source for what was posted earlier about him still saying she was kidnapped and taken to Mexico.

Re DV’s alleged injury (hospital pic posted upthread) allegedly inflicted by the alleged kidnappers, I noticed in the photo it appears parallel marks running vertically at the center of DV’s forehead. There have also been upthread discussions and speculation re the many scratches apparent in other upthread DV photos.
Apartment complexes and many other area locations commonly have metal ornamental and/or security fencing. It’s possible the short lived forehead mark could have come from running toro style into fencing of this type.
IMO welded wire, chain link, ornamental fence points, chicken wire, and possible “bob wire” as we say in Texas could have been the origin of some of these scratches.
DV does not strike me as much of an outdoorsman, although I could be mistaken.

Most people would raise the ground if a stepparent denied them the right to see their child. He has more right than the boyfriend.

Not saying he and I would have handled it the same way. However, it was evening, he had his son with him. Doubt he had any indication of the true reason he want not allowed to see her. Possible he felt it was DV's home and he'd handle it in the morning instead of causing a disturbance.

That would be a creative fundraising strategy.

Given the past history of apparent abuse, however, and the far too common instance of child missing or found dead, last seen with unrelated significant other, found to have been murdered after months of torment, I'm not sure there was any direction to go in but one.

I have always wondered how close she was to her father given Q stated BB had suffered similar abuse/molestation in her childhood. Whether this abuse was at the hands of bio/step/foster parent, etc., regardless, things were not all rosy in her childhood. I have not been in such a situation, so I can’t pretend to know what it would be like, but if I had grown up with that, I question how close to my parents I would be, i.e., close enough to leave my ill, post-surgery child with someone I purportedly believe to have molested her. Once again, and JMO, things don’t add up.

I’ve had the exact same thoughts. Didn’t QX mentioned that She was in foster care as a child?

JMO, while it is interesting, I also keep in mind that rap lyrics aren't always indicative of true statements (and if anything, they are more often than not just false or being used for bragging purposes), so it doesn't mean he was abusing percocets. He might have just needed a word that rhymed with a previous word, and we all see how deep his intellect runs so there's that.

We have a system of laws that is supposed to consider what someone has been charged with. He's been charged with tampering. This is apparently a typical bond for that kind of charge.

I'm not sure where he could run to with LE watching him carefully and everyone in Texas knowing who he is.

I'm not worried he will flee. I am worried he will kill himself.

Question: if the owner of the car was the female who dropped DV off, why wouldn’t DV (or his brother, or anyone associated with him) say that?

Why wouldn’t DV be accusing BB of all sorts of things by now?

ETA, “no comments on none of that” doesn’t really fit with believing the insane story about the three Hispanic kidnappers imo. But who knows.

I think another possibility is that someone else, say a close relative of DV's, was the driver. <modsnip> All MOO.
