Just a thought here... maybe whoever ditched the car was supposed to catch it on fire. Trying to make sense of the laundry basket still being there with a gas can.

It's a good thought, but in a rental car parking lot would be sure to get the fire department there ASAP and put out the fire.

A thought re why would DV be dumb enough to duck out on the porch for a smoke, a question raised in an earlier thread.
One theory is this: theory of possible insistence on innocence by DV: he got the kids back in the apt and littlest down easily for a nap. Maleah was hungry or bored/playful/wanting to interact/asked DV for something and he smashed her against the wall told her to shut up, dragged her to bed, and threatened her she’d better nap. Or if we’re going with the molestation allegation theory, he could have raped Maleah while the youngest napped either bc he’s a predator/opportunist and/or bc he wanted to retaliate against BB for saddling him with the kids again what a drag and buzz kill.
In either theory, the “discipline” or rape was intentional, deliberate, but MH’s death was accidental/unintentional and not premeditated.
Baby was still asleep napping. DV realized MH was dead and DV was f’d; he panicked and couldn’t lady McBeth in the house just then, he instinctively escaped to the porch to smoke and think. Anxiety triggers heightened desire for smoking to relieve anxiety in a smoker.
He smoked out on the porch because that’s where they went to get away, to literally blow off steam, to escape, because he wasn’t thinking but immediately realized he had to think. He needed to hatch a plan quick. But the neighbor saw him smoking out on his porch, DV got snapped back into reality, and had to renter the crime scene to deal with it.

I’m thinking this may have been from a tip to the police rather than someone involved directly otherwise they’d have more specifics on where to search in that location. IMHO. No?
Yep, I think so too. MOO
If Clorox is on your side, who can be against you?
My brother wants the world to know he is innocent, not how worried he is for Maleah or how much he and their whole family is desperate and grieving.
DV’s innocence is clearly telegraphed by his body language in the neighbor's security video ; IMO DV appears livid with anger, while innocent playful beautiful angelic ballerina Maleah skips along and races up behind him.
If anger, if rage, was the rage from resentment of having his style cramped — of having again to be waking up early to drive BB to damn IAH and having again to take care of some other man’s child? (BB reportedly had flown out w/o the kid’s not too long b4 the most recent MA trip.
Or was DV angry bc BB had allegedly confronted DV re penis pics on DV’s phone (according to community advocate/spokesman Quannel X)?
My bet’s on the former (although, FTR, it appears the previously posted $lim Vence & co rap video included on an earlier thread was very much an all boy party and implied or invoked repeatedly references to partaking of 🤬🤬🤬🤬. The rap also included refs to Rx drugs used recreationally, IIRC one mentioned was Percocet. And of course there was fairly high production quality, lots of cash money flash, and guns. Anyone know if the video was from DV’s STL days or Texas time. If it’s true that DV is squeaky clean re the other kind of rap sheet, is there any history of immunity in exchange for turning states evidence or being an informant re anything.
This is somewhat off topic as it seems what DV is innocent of is caring about Maleah, and that kind of innocence is vomit worthy for sure.
Somehow, I've missed this video and I would like to listen. I'll try to search for it, but if you can tell me which thread it's in or who posted it, I'd appreciate it. Thank you. :)

I have wondered that too, that maybe they chickened out and parked it. I have also wondered if the gs was to burn the stuff in the laundry basket which might have been bloody sheets/towels/clothes... I would also be curios to know if the same amount of luggage/suitcases returned to the apartment that were taken out... so many questions

Very plausible. Except he was “unconscious” during the time.

Maybe he didn’t think of that genius plan until after the cigarette and sighting — and then forgot someone had seen him in the time frame he was, you know... being stabbed and having 3 men be mean to him.

They were back in Sugar Land today searching at Cullinan Park off of Hwy 6.
Volunteers expand search for missing 4-year-old Maleah Davis

I don't know if it's just because I've been paying more attention to the search, but it seems like there have been more helicopters flying around here in the last few days.

Google Maps
Noting:

Sheriff’s officials said a neighbor called investigators to report an odd smell, but turns out, the scent came from a dead animal.

Texas Equuseearch said Maleah’s stepfather, Derion Vence, who has now been charged in connection with her disappearance, may have worked a mail route in Rosharon with the US Postal Service. A representative for USPS confirms Vence was an employed carrier from June 2017 to August 2018.

that’s exactly what I was just now coming to say about thinking the person chickened out and just parking it

I'm sure the truth will come out, but not from DV, etal.
MOO

Joe Vence was asked if he wanted to say anything about Maleah Davis, who has been missing for more than a week.

“Maleah, I love her and hopefully they get all this stuff straightened out,” Joe Vence said.

Yeah, we hope all this "stuff" gets straightened out too Joe ... Gimme a break, if your brother is innocent he wouldn't have cowered and hid at your house for a week. He would have went straight to LE and laid it all out.

Right! It's like people trying to poke holes in DV's absurd story. It doesn't matter because it's all lies.

Speaking of lying, this was interesting.

But wait...I thought the truth was 3 Mexicans. (Sarcasm) Ugh

Were they wearing red MAGA hats?

No, seriously, I suggest that DV also be charged with making a false statement to the police. This situation with people lying to the police and getting a pass needs to stop. People act like it is no big deal, even the police officers and prosecutors don't acknowledge it. Which is exactly why it happens over and over, because there are literally no consequences for lying to LEO! It shouldn't be minimized, because it is a big deal.

DV told a complete fabrication, regarding the whereabouts of a 4 year old girl who has brain damage. That is very serious. And he wasn't even charged with the lying!

I see people do that all the time. Walk in and out of stores and through parking lots never giving the small children with them a second glance. It makes me a nervous wreck.

Ditto. I'm always watching toddlers and thereabouts running towards city intersections with one eye in case someone needs to curb-block them; and I'm also disquieted until I identify "their adult" on the sidewalk, in the store, etc.

I also think DV's brother needs to learn a lesson about not guaranteeing anyone else's Christian walk, personally, as I believe individuals can only answer for our own.

My worst fear is that poor Maleah's body has been burned and the gas can in the trunk is just the remnant of tool used in that atrocious act. If DV was desperate to conceal evidence of molestation or rape, he'd burn the body. Evil.
