QX was never served court order prohibiting him from contacting DV.

QX states if served with no contact order, he would have complied.

KHOU confirming that court order was drafted AFTER QX met with DV.

ETA: I believe this order was drafted by DV's new public defender that was just appointed.

I'm surprised and disappointed that this is allowed. If a perp decides to talk, or that he wants to there should not be a court order preventing him from meeting with someone and doing so. First amendment rights and justice, for God's sake.

This is one case in which I will jump on the perps having more rights than the victims bandwagon.

Wow, an order prohibiting QX from visting DV at the jail was filed after he left the visit this morning.

That makes sense. LE probably wants to make sure that they are the ones questioning him now and that it is done properly. They need to ensure a conviction. Imo

QX says he has shared all with LE, the DA and detectives. So apparently he does have trust in LE and is communicating with them AND Tim Miller.

He really sounded broken up about Maleah. My feelings about him being a grandstander and self-involved, have changed. He is good, apparently, at getting guilty people to talk and helping to obtain justice.

QX has a 6 year old daughter that asked him every night -- Daddy did you find the little girl?.

I believe he was a man on a mission.

God bless anyone seeking justice for Maleah.

That motion has no grounds stated. No legal authority for such a request or an order. What the heck? If a defendant wants to meet with and talk to a private citizen he or she should be able to do so in jail, as long as it's not a victim.

You are far too generous. I suggest a 10 year term, at least, for leaving a disabled child under the age of 14 with a caregiver she knew had already abused the child. That makes her culpable for the capital murder.

No. That was filed by the defense. I'm sure LE was jumping for joy that QX went there. LE cannot question him due to Miranda but QX could, as a private citizen not affiliated with LE! At least until that crummy order.

Also, this meeting was recorded. And it is exactly what they needed to ensure a conviction!
