On Monday morning, Denton police detectives returned to Sanchez Insurance and Tax to collect more evidence. A photo of Medina and a vase full of flowers marked the door in her memory. The business remains closed until further notice.

Amir Panjwani owns the convenience store next door, and knew Medina by her smile.

"Usually she comes to the store for change or something, like cashing a check," he said. "That's terrible."

Police continue to appeal for any clues that could lead to Ricardo and his father

I saw the Amber Alert on a billboard today on my way home from work. The wffa update mentioning not sharing leads due to possibly compromising investigation gives me a sliver of hope that maybe one of those leads is a strong one that leads to poor Ricardo. That baby is probably traumatized and terrified right now and wants his mommy! :tears: I hope they find him soon and the monster who took him!

I know :/ It just breaks me up to think of what he might have witnessed and what he's going through right now. He should be home, feeling safe and carefree...enjoying being a child. Instead, someone has stolen that from him. I just hope wherever he is right now, he's safe and will be found soon.

Amber Alert has been cancelled. Ricardo has NOT been found and Denton PD still investigating.

I don't understand how it can no longer FIT the criteria for the AA. He's still missing. They have the a known suspect. Is it because of no vehicle description?
Ugh, people who don't pay a ton of attention but pay a little attention will assume cancelling the AA means all is well. This is NOT GOOD !

Actually from this link, a bit of hopeful news. It says they cannot release any more new leads at this time as it might compromise investigation. So doesn't that indicate they MAY
have a good lead or two they are working on ?

The last time I saw an Amber Alert canceled before the child was recovered, it was because LE learned the abductor had managed to cross the border into Mexico with the child.

So that's a possibility, I suppose.

Kizer did say they learned Martinez had left the country by the time they discovered Medina’s body around 5 p.m. Saturday. According to Denton police, Martinez has family in Mexico, but Kizer never said the boy and his father were in Mexico. Said Kizer, again, releasing any more details could “hinder the investigation.”
