On May 29, 1982, the body of Mary Hargrove was recovered from the Bosque River in the area of the McLennan Community College boat ramp in Waco. Autopsy revealed that Ms. Hargrove died from multiple stab wounds. Mary Hargrove was last known to of been alive around the 21st or 22nd of May 1982. At 2:00AM the day before her body was found (May 28th), a couple camping under Lake Shore Drive heard a car pull up above them and the splash of a "heavy object" hit the water. A fisherman ultimately discovered the body.
