Thanks. I was going to say, that's a lot of fish for only being on the creek under an hour with a 2 year old.

This time of year the sand bass (or white bass as they are also called) are travelling up the creeks to spawn. The reason he was up there is because the "sandies" are "running" and literally... you can catch a fish on every cast using artificial lures so there is no re-baiting necessary. The sand bass are voracious eaters during this time and it is not out of the question to catch 30 or 40 in an hour, even 2 on the same lure at once!
