Except he's framing it like it was consenting adults and the lack of chastity was the problem.

Kissing and petting and young lady.

Not molesting and forcing himself on a child, which is the truth of the matter.

That's not accountability. He sounds like every other paederast talking about how 'mature' the child was for their age.

Gateway Church founder Robert Morris appears in court (Friday May 9) on charges of lewd or indecent acts to a child

Morris (previously) admitted to being “involved in inappropriate sexual behavior with a young lady," after Clemishire’s allegations were made public, but did not make reference to her age.

12-years-old, a mere child.

If the.allegations are true, he's a sick, evil man. A "young lady" would be 18 - 25 years old, IMO.

People who do this know perfectly well they are victimizing a child. But they also know how ingrained sexism and misogyny are in society, even today. And so they try to down-play the trauma and pain they created for a child.

Robert Morris' million-dollar demand sparks backlash from Gateway Church members

Former Gateway Church pastor and founder Robert Morris is demanding millions of dollars from the church for retirement payments, but it's not the only legal fight church is currently facing.

Members of the congregation say they're still waiting for answers —and questioning transparency amid other church disputes.

Gateway Church member Katherine Leach said she was shocked to learn that Morris is now demanding millions from Gateway Church after resigning in 2024. Morris stepped away from the church after allegations resurfaced that he sexually abused a 12-year-old girl in the 1980s. (... More at link below)

Beware of ANY man who seeks opportunities to be alone with a young girl or teen girl, no matter what the reason. SO MANY instances of children and girls being victimized- sick sick sick!!

I played sports and had male coaches for four sports. Even male coaches int the 1980’s knew to leave doors open- to remove even an appearance of something sick and disgusting.
They were good guys, like older brothers, I loved them dearly. And they helped to shape who I became, and how I related to men, as did my wonderful Dad!

These cases infuriate me, young girls need positive male influence on their lives!! Not pervs

IMO

A trial date is set for Cindy Clemishire's defamation suit against Gateway Church and its former lead pastor, Robert Morris.

The lawsuit, filed in June, alleges that Morris, his wife and church leadership knowingly spread false statements to cover up decades-old abuse and protect the church’s public image. The civil suit accuses Morris and Gateway Church of mischaracterizing the abuse as a consensual "relationship" with a "young lady," rather than the sexual assault of a child, WFAA previously reported.

The trial is set for June 15, 2026, according to court records filed by Dallas County Judge Emily Tobolowsky. The suit seeks $1 million in damages.
