Found Deceased TX - Michael Chambers, 70, Hunt County, 10 March 2017 #1

Got permission to divulge: His purchases from walmart were found inside his home in their bedroom/bathroom (the normal place he would put something like make-up). The receipt was also found in the bathroom trash, and all purchases are accounted for - nothing out of the usual.

So basically, it appears that he came in from WalMart, went into the house and probably put his purchased away and such. Could someone have been in the house and hiding? And he interrupted something? Was there evidence in the shop that he had actually done things out there that day?

If you can't say, totally understand!

The shop can be locked by hand on the inside and then closed - accessible on the outside with a key. I do NOT know if the deadbolt was also locked.

It sounds like someone was very deliberate and knew what they were doing. Locking the shed behind them/him is strange.

His wife asked him that morning for certain make-up articles. I'm not positive, but I do think that her make-up was the only reason for the trip. He is just that awesome of a husband.

Just out of curiosity, what make up brand did he buy for your grandmother? Is she younger than PawPaw? I ask because she is still working.

My take is... he got home, put away the bag, went to the bathroom, threw away the receipt from his pocket (normal behavior), then perhaps ate lunch? maybe?, then went out to the shop. He AT LEAST had time to put his keys and wallet in their normal spot before anything happened. So I would say the person(s) probably were not in the house, but could have been in the shop, or could have walked in after him.

Nothing was overly apparent that he had been working on, but as I've said before... Papaw is organized, but in his own way. On any given day, you could walk in there and not know what he had been working on last... or even what he was actively working on. I'm not a car person, so I am REALLY not the person to be able to tell you something like that, haha. I would say the shop is organized chaos, but that might indicate things were a mess, which they were not (almost ever). Things in the shop have their place, it's just not a 100% intuitive place for all things to all people.

I do not know what brand he bought... I'm sure she has a regular one, but who here knows what brand of make-up their grandma wears (not me!). It was likely just whatever she always wears.

She's younger than Papaw, but it's not unusual for people to work past 60. She tried to retire a couple of times, but she's too passionate about what she does. (So is Papaw for that matter! He worked WELL beyond what he had to!)

Gotcha. Just didn't know if there was an obvious project that he was working on or anything. That way it could be distinguished that he actually did some work out in the shop, or if something happened relatively quickly after he went in.

And my grandfather had the same organized chaos concept. lol

Someone would know if he had eaten something. Did he always clean up and wash the dishes afterward? Maybe he had company for lunch?

Maybe someone picked him up for lunch? Did this ever happen? Since cash was missing, maybe he stuck some dollars in his jeans.

But...he would have locked himself out of the shed. But, perhaps that's easy enough to do. Did that ever happen?

He used cash at walmart, didn't appear to remove his DL from surveillance video. It would be unlike him to put both in his pocket and not in his wallet. Creature of habit, my Papaw.

Anything that contains pseudophedrine in it, yes. Anything like Benadryl, etc., no.
