I am following the John Beck thread....the difference here is this is not a tourist area if you are thinking of looking for pictures. I don't think someone would accidentally take a photo of MC.....just wondering what you are thinking.

Interesting thought tho!

Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking. I realize it's a VERY long shot, but who knows? <modsnip>

It seems we are at a standstill until someone breaks their silence, or a POI is named that we can openly talk about on here. I am fresh out of ideas of how else to help, so I thought I would give that a try. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?

I was following it too. Sad. But I a tad confused. No foul play? So, he fell hit his head? Suicide? Rest peacefully Kenneth [emoji72] [emoji173]

Yes, that's what confused me too. HOW did he end up there? Under a bush? No foul play?

There may be far more LE knows that they aren't revealing, but it sure reminds me of the LE in Michael's case...

At least, Kenneth's body has been found...

( P.S. O/T, but you're in my thoughts. My heart truly goes out to you with all the roles you're juggling. Big cyber-hug of support to you! )

Also I know that another man did go missing near that area but I'm not sure why there isn't any information anywhere about it that I can find besides one small mention of his name and a sentence saying he was missing. Does anyone know why that is? I just wonder bc it's odd to me.

Could this be the man you are thinking of? He was diabetic and they think he became disoriented. His body was found.

Respectfully Bolded By Me.

So was PaPaw seen wearing sunglasses the day he disappeared ...?
His glasses to me look like transitional lenses. Those that darken in the sunlight. I wore those for years. Or they could be simply tinted. If he wears glasses normally I would lean toward that.

They searched hashtags for LandsEnd I believe.

Yes, I figured it out. I've searched #quinlantx so far. I'm looking through #greenvilletx right now.
LOCALS: Were there any fairs, conventions, carnivals, expos, festivals, Monster Truck shows, etc. in the area around that time? Not just in Quinlan itself, but in the surrounding area? If someone lived in Quinlan, where would they do most of their shopping, where is there a decent size mall, etc. that one might go to to buy gifts, shop for outfits, that kind of thing. From what I surmise, Quinlan itself may not have a lot of shopping variety.

If one were going to "run to town to pick up a few things" where would they go?
If one were to go "shopping for the day" where would they go?
Where would Papaw buy any car parts that he needed, besides special order?
Was there a local donut shop or tavern or other gathering place that he might meet friends at for a coffee and to 'chew the fat' or perhaps watch a sports game?
(Not sure if he drank alcohol or not, but even non-drinkers sometimes go have a soda with their buddies.)
Did he have any activities/interests besides the classic car thing? Did he play cards with the guys every Wednesday night or every now and again?

Did he often go help out a friend do odd jobs? (My dad is retired and sometimes rides along with his neighbor who owns a towing business, just for something to do or to get away from my mother for awhile, I think.) He also helps a friend out with his tree-trimming biz from time to time.

Was Papaw know throughout the area as a go-to guy for automotive advice? Could someone have asked him to take a look at a car project they were working on, to either give him a hand or advice?

Was there a little old lady that might call upon Papaw to have him fix a leaky pipe, or see why her toilet won't stop running?

Was he known to carry large amounts of cash? (I think this may have been answered already, if so sorry.)

Just really brainstorming on a few levels here today.

Hoping that today is the day this incredible family gets some answers.

Well just sliced my finger whilst chopping up onions, yuk! Noticed that the two drops of blood that hit the kitchen floor(before I grabbed some paper towel) were round and a little less than the size of a quarter, of course I then washed my finger and put a bandaid on it. Made me wonder who would stand in one spot and let multiple drops of blood accumulate in the same spot, you would automatically move to get bandaid or tissue or go to a sink to wash it!!!

Sorry you cut yourself, but thanks for letting us in on the results.
Here's a kiss for your boo-boo.

Bumping for Papaw. Hoping to hear something, anything, from LE and/or the PI soon.

Unless you were shocked by the blow. Or dazed momentarily.

All theory, not an ounce of fact. Not that anything factual in this case has resulted in Michael's discovery. Alive, or deceased. I do not like writing deceased. I only find myself doing it since things have moved along, in the manner that they have.

This is all conjecture. Please do not share this beyond this page. They are my words, written from MY thoughts. They are my humble opinion, MHO, as normally written.

Michael Chambers, a seemingly normal man, was accosted by persons unknown. Did they accidentally stab his hand, or arm, causing everyone to freeze? The blade went in clean, just random drops left behind on the concrete floor. Or, did MC go to defend himself, when the attack took place?

Now, MC, a seasoned veteran of a fulfilling life: a husband, father, grandfather....is thinking quickly. How to get these monsters away from the workshop, the house? He pulls out his wallet, offering up all the money inside. Maybe a couple hundred dollars? As the creeps are looking at the money, MC removes his TDL, and slips it into the pocket opposite the pocket holding his phone. The wallet he sets down.

Was MC hoping that his normal routine, which is to always have his wallet in his pocket, will be noticed by anyone finding the scene? A big question here would be, is that his normal routine? His friends, his family, would know how he would work in his shop. Would MC routinely empty out all his pockets, as he set about doing his thing? Or, would he keep everything on his person?

What were his habits? We all have any number of them. Has their PI looked into this?

None of this really makes much sense. A family is missing their patriarch, their anguish is real, they just want their PaPaw home. They want the answers, and I wish we could get someone to make those answers appear.

I do NOT believe MC walked away from his life. I believe something criminal has happened here. And as this has never been considered to be criminal, our system is more broken than I fear.

Perhaps the FBI should take over this investigation?

Please pardon me if anyone else has written similar thoughts. I do not mean to step on any toes here.

If an intruder had stabbed him I would have expected the blood to be smeared and trampled on and if he had tried to defend himself the blood would be all over the place, not in a neat little pile, MOO, nobody was there, not even Michael. The wallet etc were placed there and then the blood dripped on the floor by someone who new his routine and wanted to get rid of him.

The silence is deafening. Nothing from LE. Nothing from MC's family. Our VI is dealing with the 24/7 of being a busy wife/mom.

Michael vanished from the face of our Earth. And we have no idea how, or why.

...
pmerle00~ for whenever you're able to return here for a bit:

I know I originally asked you about the blood spatter, and if you saw it yourself... (thank you for your detailed reply)
and then as an aside, I pondered if it could be determined whether or not the blood was specifically from a nosebleed.
Seemingly, it can be determined as such...
so... next question...
HAS it been determined (or not) if it was nosebleed-blood?
At this point it may not help in locating him, however, head injury, or cut finger, etc., can all be ruled out (for theory-builders out there) if it has been verified a nosebleed.

Meanwhile, you're probably tired of hearing this, but I do think of you and Papaw daily, and pray for his safe return... or now, at least for definitive answers for you. Positive energy and thoughts coming to you from Japan.

oh, forgot-- also, Pmerle00-- has anyone from the family spoken with the check-out guy at Walmart, to inquire about Papaw's demeanor or such?
I am assuming LE has done so (but then, I guess I really probably shouldn't assume that... )

I "lurk" around here hoping to find a breakthrough but still can't imagine why nothing has broken yet!

This entire situation confounds me. <modsnip>

The family must know what is going on. It's been 6 months for heaven's sake. And LE?
Why was MC's death signed off on by LE and by a judge. Especially with some of the evidence people say they have provided to LE!
Maybe MC did leave a letter to his wife that he's leaving and won't be returning. And maybe he gave the reasons why. Could this be why BC and LE are so silent. Because the reasons he gave for leaving are too embarrassing to air? Did MC specify in a letter that he didn't want anyone to know
what happened or where he's gone?
Is it possible there is no crime here?
