Good question. Im not familiar with jails - can LE restrict visitors? Im sure they can if they are not following the rules but if they are being good there, can they still restrict? Hows that work?

Well, if you felt up to it or one of the sisters or grandaughter felt like it, I'd look to give a visit to BD a gander.

Steel has anyone ever checked to see if BD can receive visitors? I know I am scrappier than many, but I think I would want first had info of what he knew and if there was any shadiness to him landing in jail. Not an ok way to hush someone!

I know this wasnt directed to me, but my opinion is he (BD) probably does know something. However, in the environment he is currently in, if he has any sense at all, I doubt he'd spill it. Hunt county is shady to say the least and I wouldn't blame the man for being paranoid and suddenly 'forgetting' everything he once thought he knew. However, if it were me,speaking in terms of MC's family, I would investigate his significant other/baby mama and close associates. Im sure as boisterous as he appears he was hardly a silent wall flower around them. Notice they have all "learned a lesson" from him and chosen to be mute on the issue. I think that may have been the bigger point in the BD arrest ...All MOO.

Not sure if he's still being held at HC but if so I believe they have to have you on a 'visitors' list...pre-approved family and possibly close friends. I would work to find out if he has legal representation and go that route trying to get in if it were me

That sounds like a good idea. I would definitely want to speak to him if I could get it approved.

I have had the same thought. And that makes me sad because he does have kids....yes, he isn't an upstanding citizen, but I believe he had good intentions at the onset and I wouldn't wish that on any kid.

If that happens there are going to be hundred's if not thousands of people pointing the finger at LE. They already look suspicious as it is. I do hope someone in Papaw's family will be able to visit him and possibly get more information, but I'm not holding my breath that they'll allow it.

In most cases that would be a deterrent. But I think HC doesn't care about public opinion and they've had fingers pointed in their direction plenty of times on plenty of occasions and it always seems to 'fade away'. I trust none of them. IMO.

Im also wondering if this location has any connection to any local Game Wardens? And did MC personally know any of them or have any occasion to encounter any in the past? (Did he report illegal hunting, etc?)

I know the general area given by our VI. Right around the corner (Texas-speaking) from MCs residence. Scattered houses, lots of land and woods. Interestingly, one salvage yard crosses 2101 from this road. Wondering if no one saw a car/ truck leave MCs house because he was either lured/taken off the property via ATV thru woods??? Thus not using the main roads?

Hope I am quoting correctly re: a tense relationship between BC & MC maybe this from VI on page 57 of this thread? Doesn't say "tense" but implies it.

In the past yes there relationship was something a couple could model theirs after. But the last couple years has been a different story.
They would go on trips together but it seemed as if it was out of obligation. Recently though BC has been going on vacations with friends.

I think you can send postal mail and ask him to put you on his visitor's list or phone list but I do agree with the other post he's not going to spill anything especially now and while behind bars where his every word is recorded.

I am just confused....it happens every day unfortunately that people grow apart and cheat...My ex did that to me, blatantly and I never thought of making his disappear.
