Well I couldn't find the right post and noticed that many of my questions to Pmerle regarding who went with BC to court were awaiting approval by a mod?? Not sure if somebody reported those, or what that means. Some of Pmerle's responses were also snipped.

However, I did find this in regards to HCSO and how they handled this investigation terribly from the beginning. This is just crazy to me after seeing the photo's of the blood in the workshop.

Am visiting The Villages in Florida. At one of the town Centers they held the 21st annual '70's car show. So I went and looked at every car and every owner (especially those sitting) and no MC. There was a bald man that looked a little like him dancing to the 70's tunes like he knew what he was doing. But somehow it didn't strike me as something he'd be doing with all those beautiful cars around. And I couldn't get close enough to get a pic.

One other thought I've had lately concerns BC's boyfriend who Klein investigators caught lying about having no contact with BC in a year's time, when indeed he and BC had been exchanging phone calls the very day of MC's disappearance. That was, and is, very troubling and surely looks bad for both of them, though we haven't a clue as to what BC did tell HCSO investigators. Here's my thought:

Do you believe that particular BF's whereabouts during the relevant timeline were absolutely verified by HCSO ( or perhaps the P.I.) and that angle of possible criminal action/involvement has seemingly gone nowhere?

Other crimes in which whereabouts were verified later proved to be false. This wouldn't be the first. By the time Klein began investigating months had passed limiting the opportunities to disprove an alibi such as video surveillance. I'm sure the HCSO was more happy to clear a person rather than try to disprove their story.

I'm sure the HCSO was more happy to clear a person rather than try to disprove their story.

You're right, ocgrad, that there certainly have been false verifications over the years. I'm not saying that I would personally believe 100% a verification done by either HCSO or Klein. I'm only wondering if that process was done. If it was, the result would probably affect the investigators' approach to this case.

I thought it was before the p.o. And I don't recall our VI saying it was JC1.

I do remember at least one of our VIs telling us which son it was, but there are a number of removed or snipped posts, so tough to discuss. It probably doesn't matter, in the long run, and maybe it's not allowed per TOS , although it seems to me to be a matter of a fact. Not sure.

I can't wrap my head around that. It sure looks that way, sometimes, and there's been plenty of misguided communication and seeming incompetence. I understand what folks have said, and agree with much of it, but for the life of me, can't understand why a sheriff would not want as many answers as possible when someone he's known for years disappears like this. I can't imagine the HCSO not caring, and caring a lot. Even if there's corruption within the department, or whatever else.

I'd still love to hear the HCSO actually explain why this has never been called a criminal case...

Tripod-Me too! I’d love to know how long SM sat on his bicycle-suicide story and their other theories.
In the earliest news stories I just spent an hour reading, Suzy, SM, DH, and a sister-in-law I’d never heard of before, and whose name I saw only once, are quoted. I can’t help wondering if someone asked the neighbors, car club and other friends not to speak with reporters or if anyone spoke to them at all before Crime Watch and Disappeared.

Maybe they allowed things like the prior relationship to affect how they performed the investigation and it was only after multiple boyfriends were discovered that they realized they had been played. By then the crime scene was gone, surveillance videos gone, his and her phones gone. So they have tried in vain to save face.

Looking forward to Disappeared tonight. Well, kind of. I'm super glad his story is getting out there, but man o man, it breaks my heart to pieces to know he is still missing and if the episode promotes the ridiculous bike/suicide story I will likely shoot my TV.

Watching Michael's Disappeared episode right now. I know a little about his case. I'll check here tomorrow to see what you guys (who know the case well) think of the Disappeared episode.

The bike issue a bunch of posts back...their son said both BC & MC had bikes. Not that he rode a bike, but that they had them...which is prob why a woman's bike was in the house for sale pix.
