It's gotten awfully quiet again. I was really hoping the Klein statement would set some balls rolling.
First post but I have been following a long time. The dogs are very experienced. I got excited when I was watching on the ID channel and it showed Tracy and her dogs (Chance) hunting for missing Kelly Nash from Buford, GA. Missing in Jan. 2015. All 3 dogs hit on 1 dock and he was later found in that lake quite near to the dock. I have found several articles about different searches.Does anyone know if the K9 is experienced or fresh out of training?

Glad you've joined us on Papaw's thread, CrimewatcherGrandma!I watched this show after I knew about Tracy and Chance being on MC's case so you can imagine my excitement.
Yup- that article was from 11 years ago. I will read more and it'd be great if you could link one you foundThanks for the article Tripod. I read a few myself that were more assuring than this one, some finding results after 30 years. Maybe I can find it again and figure out how to upload on here. Lol I am a Grandma! I did notice that this article was written in 2007 and that does seem like a long time in our advancing world. Maybe I just want to "hope"!
There are several articles that state Luminol can detect blood in soil up to 6 years. Some say 8 years even. I imagine if blood remains viable in soil that decomposition gases and materials may as well. Thanks for the article Tripod. This is a good article about how even as blood goes away from the top service it remains in the soil years later. I wish when the dogs hit that first day on the culvert that they had tested the area with luminol. There are several articles that state Luminol can detect blood in soil up to 6 years. This article states that dogs are often used in detecting crime scenes long after the crime occurred. That's really hopeful. Will they get a SW for his pickup? At first I thought there was surely no reason, that the blood or scent would have been removed from a hard surface, but now I think there could be even a spec of blood or body fluid, a dog will find it.This is a good article about how even as blood goes away from the top service it remains in the soil years later. Welcome to the thread, Dallen! I am so glad more people are popping into Papaw's case. It's a puzzler that has gripped the hearts and minds of many beyond his heartbroken family.I just stumbled on this case after catching the Disappeared episode this weekend. I’ve seen them all numerous times but somehow hadn’t seen this one or seen this case pop up here on WS. Looks like I have a lot of catching up to do.....
I don't think we have a clear answer on that.Speaking of luminol... was it used in the shop? To see if an area was cleaned or a body print seen?
