Speaking of luminol... was it used in the shop? To see if an area was cleaned or a body print seen?
According to VI in Thread #2, Luminol was not used at all by HCSO. Perhaps since PI has good relationship with new homeowner they have used it in recent days.

Yes, I remember VI did say luminol wasn't used, but I thought I remembered later on ( don't know which thread) our VI corrected that to say it WAS used in the shop. That's only my memory, and I don't have a link, nor am I certain how to determine if it's a false memory. It could be.

I found the following posts by the VI:

July 26, 2017:
“As far as I know, no luminol was used in the shop. The blood drops were tested and are confirmed to be Papaw's blood.”

July 27, 2017:
“Luminol has not been used at all, as far as I know.

July 27, 2017:
[Replying to a previous post: “If they didn't spray luminol, how do they know there was no blood or skin on the vehicles or anything else except the dowel and the drops on the floor? They strictly went by eyesight alone? Ugh. Sorry, but they suck. I hope it's not too late for your PI to do it.”]

“I believe they went by eyesight alone, yes. I will be asking my family to request that the PI use Luminol in the shop, house and vehicles. Anyone know how late is too late for that sort of thing?”

[Just to avoid confusion: The PI being reference above is not Klein.]

Luminol was used in the workshop and portions of the home and did not yield anything suspicious.

So I think both of you are right: Luminol was not used by HCSO, but it was by the first PI, at least according to the VI.

Personally, I do think that Klein has likely used it, IMO.

You come to the rescue again, IMHO! Bless you and thank you! I'm actually rather pleased to find my memory might not be as shot as I sometimes think, lol. The main thing I wasn't sure about was whether it was the first PI who used the luminol.

You are a whizz and I so appreciate the time you put into researching and documenting things. I really, really do.

Or is it, "wiz?"

The “3 mile radius” is what stood out me the most as I read the statement. And they say to check “for human remains,” rather than possible evidence, anything suspicious, etc. They are being very specific.

This does narrow the search area down significantly. Just like you, I am curious as to how they came to this conclusion. More accurate, precise phone ping and/or GPS records and/or analysis? Tighter timeline?

For what’s worth, the former Chambers residence to the infamous 2-Mile Bridge is 5.25 miles as the crow flies:

ETA: The yellow dot in the first SS is the location of the home.

I had a lab who would search for a stick or ball by going in concentric circles. She'd always find it.

IF Papaw had left to hurt himself (please note the big if) he probably did so on foot and is probably somewhere within a 3 mile radius of his home. Even though Klein believes this is a homocide, I can't help but think he feels ALL bases need to be explored,
verified and or rejected.

Forgive me but wasn't there supposed to be some big news or announcement or finding or new information that was going to be revealed about 10 days ago or more?

Was that just "click bait" hype?

How many here think there may have been one or more additional "relationships" BC may have had during that specific time-frame Klein Investigations mentions in their one press release, where they are seeking info.? Sept. 2016-June 2017, I believe it was.

I remember that two of three affair partners were interviewed by police earlier on, and seem to recall at least one or two of the same had agreed to be interviewed by Klein. What are your thoughts on this? Is Klein trying to put pressure on one particular person, or is there an unknown affair partner possibly in the mix?

  • #118
I get the feeling BC has dirt on the people who know-firsthand-what she was doing during that time and Klein’s people are busy separating fact from fiction.

  • #119
Could be. I'm just hoping some nice ripe fruit has begun to fall out of all this tree-shakin'.
