[Nunez] pleaded guilty Friday to enhanced aggravated perjury for a 20-year sentence and a $500 fine, according to a news release from 47th District Attorney Randall Sims' office. A probation violation on a charge of assault causing bodily injury to a family member netted him a sentence of eight years to be served at the same time as the longer one.
The statute of limitations had run out for other charges Nunez could have faced, according to the release.
